1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD ROADSTER "SOLD" Drager's Classics 206-533-9600
This is the T-Bird you have always wanted to find. It's a locally owned, frame off, show quality restoration. Frank's Restoration was the restorer. This was done a number of years ago, 1975, and you can tell it has been kept in show condition. This car comes with several trophies. You will have to see all the photos, over 180, and the video. You can see it running and driving. Yes the underside was dusty but Andrew has cleaned it. What a car. 312 V-8 engine. Automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. The more I look at this stunning Bird the more impressed I am. Yes it has some very minor paint chips. You can tell it's not been driven in the rain since it's restoration. This has to be by far the best ThunderBird I have ever owned. I think the only thing I would do is install wide white radials in place of the bias ply tires. It's the correct QE code Thunderbird bronze and XK white interior. As you can imagine we did not find anything much to do when it was serviced and safety checked. It's beautiful. 1957 Ford Thunderbird E Code Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Ford unveiled the Thunderbird at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. The first production car came off the line on September 9, 1954, and went on sale on October 22, 1954 as a 1955 model, and sold briskly. 3,500 orders were placed in the first ten days of sale. Ford had only projected building 10,000, but eventually the 1955 sales totaled 16,155. The 1957 model underwent a more radical restyle. The front bumper was reshaped, the grille and tailfins were made larger, and larger tail-lights were fitted. The spare wheel moved inside the trunk again, and was redesigned to allow it to be mounted vertically. The side "Thunderbird" script moved from the fins to the front fenders. 1957 Thunderbird sales were 21,380, including three extra months of production because the 1958 models were late, and only 1363 of those Thunderbirds were the E Code. This gorgeous white '57 E Code Thunderbird was originally from Denver, Colorado, but has spent the last several years in Southern California. This car has been beautifully detailed and is ready to drive and enjoy today. It is equipped with the 312 cubic-inch V8 paired with the heavy duty Ford-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission, power brakes, as well as a one of a kind factory dual 4 barrel air cleaner, factory aluminum highrise intake, modified heads and a modified camshaft. The engine compartment is clean and well-detailed, showing little sign of use. Turn the key and the engine fires with a crisp burble from the dual through-the-bumper Exhaust tips. Bathed in elegant white paint with a classic red interior, this rare E Code 'Bird still attracts a ton of attention anywhere you go. The paint is beautiful on the straight body. There are very few, barely noticeable touch ups on the driver side door near the handle, and on the passenger side rear tailfin. The white canvas convertible top is brand new and sits on the original frame. She is also equipped with an Iconic Porthole Hardtop, which is in beautiful condition. This very special E Code 'Bird appears to have on of its original Firestone tires in the trunk as a spare. We were going to buy a new one, but thought it was really something of interest to keep with the car. The undercarriage is very clean, with no signs of rust or abuse. For driving comfort, there's a power seat and power windows. The dash light above the functional AM/FM cassette radio works. The original Town and Country radio is boxed in the trunk. Red rubber floor mats, complete with Thunderbird emblem to match the red door panels, protect the beautiful red carpet. In the photographs the climate control knob is missing, but it has been installed since. The dash is beautiful and the functional gauges, including the clock, sparkle in front of the driver. The odometer shows just 67,000 plus miles, and while I can not guarantee them as actual, I do believe it is highly likely. I found an oil service sticker from 1987 that shows 47,000 plus miles. When Ford Motor Company was redesigning the Thunderbird for the 21st Century, they looked back to the original, considered by many to be the best Thunderbird ever, for inspiration. This is a car that you won't be afraid to drive, and it's so nice, it'll be hard to find excuses not to drive it every day. In fact, if this were my car, that's exactly what I'd do. Imagine coming out of work after a hard day and finding this beautiful rare E Code Thunderbird waiting for you in the parking lot. I think it's physically impossible to have a bad day behind the wheel of a Thunderbird convertible. Call today! 248-974-9513 www.vanguardmotorsales.com

134288 / 1957 Ford Thunderbird
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/jwx5w9f This 1957 Thunderbird was originally exported to Italy where it lived the majority of its life before returning stateside and eventually being revitalized by the T-bird specialists at Hill's Automotive in Racine, Ohio. The car is one of just 1,363 1957 Thunderbirds originally equipped with the E-code 312ci V8 which remains in place today, backed by a 3-speed automatic, and plenty of great options like power, steering, power brakes, an AM radio, and power windows. If you're looking for limited-run Ford iron in an iconic package, this Thunderbird is an absolute homerun. Looking down the side of the car, the sheet metal is respectably straight and the car shows with an overall sense of authenticity. According to the data plate, the car left Dearborn wearing a coat of Raven Black paint and Raven Black is exactly what you'll find today. The paint work has a great luster and highlights the car's sharp lines well. The body is completed by show-quality chrome, glass, and stainless throughout. Ford introduced the 312ci Y-block V8 in 1956 and, by the following year, offered three variants of that engine. This T-bird is powered by the desirable E-code dual quad version rated at 270hp from the factory. The block is dressed in Ford Red (read: orange) and wears a correct ECZ-6015-C casting number on its side. The major hardware is correct and details like the reproduction hoses, "See Clear" windshield washer bag, and replicated inspection marks throughout offer this bay an authentic presentation that you'll be proud to show off. Behind the 312, a correct Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission takes care of shifting before sending power back to the Ford 9-inch rear with standard-issue 3.10 gears. Around the drivetrain, the suspension stays true to Ford design with a double A-arm front and leaf spring rear. When the roads get twist, , factory power steering and power-assisted drum brakes are both in place to maximize driver input. Combined with the front sway bar, this Ford is a surprisingly nimble machine. Dramatic styling was king in the 1950s and it certainly didn't stop on the outside. Between the doors of this Ford, a bright red vinyl interior offers seating for two with plenty of bonus features. The original metric speedometer has been lost to history but options like power windows, a power bench seat, and the Town and Country radio more than make up for it. With it's Italian history, desirable E-code 312, and an impressive list of factory options, this Thunderbird is a unique piece ready to be enjoyed immediately. 1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD ROADSTER "SOLD" Drager's International Classic Sales 206-533-9600
1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD ROADSTER. #D7FH332814. 312 V-8 engine. Automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. Power windows. SelectOmatic power seat. Nonworking Town & Country radio. Chrome wire spoke wheels with like brand-new tires. Fender skirts. Aftermarket vintage air. Charged and blows cold. Porthole hardtop only. Starmist blue paint looks to be original and I was told it was an original paint car, but I can tell it has been repainted a long time ago. The white interior is very good. I'm impressed with the body condition. I was really surprised how well it ran and drove my first time out. I drove it about 12 miles to Frank's restorations for its' service and safety check. Frank only does baby birds. He is an expert on Thunderbirds and I felt it would be very good for him to do the service and safety check, and take care of a couple small things that I found. I have been driving the Thunder bird a lot almost every day now. Cond. # 3. Drager's International Classic Sales 18805 Aurora Ave. N. 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Some cars are simply universal in their appeal. No matter if you're a Ford guy, a Mopar guy or a Chevy guy, there are some cars that transcend barriers. I'd argue that the 1955-57 Ford Thunderbird is such a car. Great looks and instantly recognizable, it all adds up to a beautiful car that everyone sees as something special. Some T-Birds are more special than others, however, and Ill argue that this '55 is one of the nicest we've seen lately. The recipient of a 3 year, body-off restoration that cost somewhere near $85,000, this car is in outstanding condition from top to bottom. The mirror finish black paint is absolutely beautiful, applied over those classic T-Bird curves. Whenever I think of an early 'Bird, I always picture this color combination. All of the chrome and trim is perfect, the bumpers have been re-chromed. The body is straight, solid and rust free. The panel gaps are awesome and the door, hood and trunk lips are clean. This car looks even better in person than it does in photos. The doors open and close with precision, the forward-tilting hood fits extremely well, and the trunk lid, including the pass-through for the fuel filler, fits well. The paint has obviously been cut and buffed, because the gloss is fantastic. Under the hood you'll find a nicely detailed 292cubic inch motor and the 3-speed manual transmission. Up front there's a 3-blade fan which looks awesome. The Thunderbird valve covers are a beautiful addition. The Exhaust manifolds have been coated to keep them looking "like-new" forever. A new heater box and duct work, new wiring and a new master cylinder were updated during the restoration. This 'Bird also received a fresh alignment. You will find a battery shut off switch under the dash as well. Underneath, you'll find that the entire frame has been treated to a black paint job before the body was reinstalled. The floors are as glossy as the body panels and it creates an awesome background for the details that are found throughout. The springs and shocks have been rebuilt, and the stainless steel Exhaust system is beautiful. The rear end housing has a paint job that is worthy of the hood! The gas tank has been refinished, and the brake lines as well as the parking brake cable are new. The steering gear is painted, the bushings are new and there are new motor mounts front and back. The back sides of the fenders are beautiful as well, showing no filler, no bumps and no bruises. The interior is a real treat. As I said, whenever I think of a '55-57 T-Bird, I always envision a black one with a black and white interior. The power seat has been as beautifully restored as the exterior, and are all-day driving comfortable. The instruments have been fully restored and look gorgeous in that jet-age instrument panel that is framed by engine-turned metal appliqués that run from end to end. The dash pad and carpets are also new. There is an aftermarket stereo installed in the dash. The original Town & Country AM radio is in working condition, and will go with the car to the new owner. Overhead, the black top fits extremely well. This T'Bird comes with a tunneau cover and an unfinished hardtop (all components required to finish it are available). The trunk features a new mat and a matching wide whitewall tire. Many T-Bird enthusiasts think that 1955 is the best-looking of all the early 'Birds, with no external spare tire like in 1956, and no extended trunk and mini tailfins like the '57. Instead, the purity of the original design that wowed crowds at car shows remained pretty much intact. Restored to spectacular condition inside and out, this particular '55 T-Bird is on that you can drive and enjoy, or trailer to a show and bring home trophies; it all depends on your mood. This is a car where you're getting an awful lot of restoration for not a lot of money, all surrounding a gorgeous, highly-collectable car that will always have an eager crowd of admirers around it. Like I said earlier, there's almost nobody who doesn't think an early Thunderbird is a great car. If you've longed to put one in your collection, I submit this as an excellent candidate. 1963 Ford Thunderbird Convertible - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars
Originally brought to market in response to Chevrolet's Corvette, the Ford Thunderbird was promoted as a "personal luxury car" that just happened to be very sporty. This campaign, combined with sticker prices lower than Corvette's, brought tremendous success for the Thunderbird through 1955 to 1957. The rousing popularity of the Thunderbird prompted Ford executives to broaden it's appeal. The all new Thunderbird for 1958 was a larger four-seater car that retained the sleek sport styling of it's first generation predecessor. The third generation Thunderbird for 1961-1963 was very futuristic and unlike anything else on the road. The tonneau cover, which hides the rear seats, is rare today as it was an expensive option. But it's availability completes the 61-63 T-bird convertible as among the most striking automobiles produced to this day. http://www.coolcarsvideo.com 1963 Ford Thunderbird Convertible - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars All the exotic cars, muscle cars, and performance cars you can imagine have shown up here - or will. 1957 Thunderbird for Sale
This 1957 T-Bird we have for sale was a one-owner car until a couple of years ago when our client bought it to restore. With too many projects in the works he has decided to let it go. It has 120K original miles and had a repaint of the original color that was done sometime in the 80s. The car is rust free, underneath and all around, a perfect candidate for freshening up with a repaint and a few mechanical tweaks. The car runs well but has an Exhaust leak. It also has a slow leak in the heater box. Otherwise, it starts; runs and drives fine. The brakes function well; it has newer tires and steers straight. The front-end feels tight. It can be enjoyed as-is with just the two above-mentioned items addressed. The absense of rust on the car from being in the friendly California environment has served it well. We are told that it has always been an indoor car and that certainly looks to be the case. It appears that the front-right fender had some minor damage followed by sub-standard repairs at some point and will need to be re-worked a bit. Otherwise, this car is quite straight and very solid. It wont take much to make this a very nice driver and with prices as suppressed as they are right now, this car should appreciate nicely over the next couple of years.
