Chevrolet Malibu Trims: i Sport, i Touring, i Grand Touring What I have to say about the 2014 6: Mazda has redesigned the 6 for 2014 and it was needed. The previous generation 6 was falling short in sales compared to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, however Mazda knows that it is highly unlikely that the 6 will meet up to the Accord and Camry. The 6 is the BMW of midsize sedans, which it really does feel like a BMW which is pretty good. Material quality is also up for 2014 and everything seems well put together and not cheap. The Electronics/Technology is good in the 6, but the Navigation unit still remains behind the times, however you do have Pandora now. The engine is also super fuel efficent which is good in order to compete in the midsize sedan class, the Nissan Altima is almost head to head with the 6 in fuel efficency. On top of all that, the most important facotr that Mazda uses to lure in buyers is the zoom zoom driving dyanmics and it does gice alot of feedback which is very important. All in all way better than the previous generation.

I have has a chance to drive the car for a few days now, it just arrived last week. We are barely into calendar 2013 yet but this is a 2014 model. The car industry will never follow the proper calendar. We are living in the future here. The materials are absolutely top notch. Mid-sized cars are generally called family cars. This is a family car but for anyone who wants to have a little bit more fun with the car this car can sure take a corner and has enough power for most people to get pretty excited about. This is our second SKYACTIV engine. Mazda's answer to the problem posed by rising fuel prices. It is a re-think of the internal combustion engine first and foremost. Mazda engineers tried to tweak the internal combustion engine to get the most power out of every drop of fuel that goes in there. The engine is a 13 to 1 compression ratio which is a combustion ratio not normally seen in an everyday passenger car. This vehicle has a lot of low end torque. Powering out of a corner the power is immediate; the transmission knows exactly what gear to be in. All of the down shifts are revv matched. It feels like a relatively high performance vehicle while still being just a 4 cylinder engine. This is our second vehicle to feature what they call a KODO soul of motion design language. What it is supposed to invoke is the feeling of movement, without the car actually moving. The lines on the car really make it stand out on the road. There really is something special about this car where mid-sized cars traditionally are kind of practical. Whereas this car is a lot of fun to drive, it gets great fuel economy. It is a winning package if you will. This vehicle really should be competing in a higher category. While most manufacturers are moving to the cab forward design, Mazda has instead gone for a cab rearward look by stretching the sheet metal. The lines on the side seem to keep flowing. This car is not just about form; the new model also uses a lot more high strength steel. Mazda has made a conscious effort to convert the Mazda6 from a regular mid-sized car into a premium car. From the back the simple design looks very upscale, almost like a Lexus ES. On the inside Mazda has done a lot to compliment the outside. The gauges and instrument panel have all been updated. The 2014 Mazda6 is available in 3 trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The higher the trim level the more standard features you get. You probably have heard about SKYACTIV technology on many of the new Mazda vehicles. This powerplant has now made its way onto the 2014 Mazda6 making the car more fuel efficient. The engine is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is excellent at 26 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway. The 2014 Mazda6 can satisfy a whole range of automotive shoppers; from those who just need a commuter car to the enthusiast looking for a fun daily driver. The slinky five-door will bow in Europe and Japan with a Skyactiv-D 2.2-liter diesel engine in both standard and high-output configurations. Buyers who prefer a gasoline engine can opt for either 2.0-liter or 2.5-liter direct-injection four-cylinders. Mazda hasn't said what we can expect to see in terms of transmission options, but the company has made it clear the 2014 Mazda6 Wagon will make use of a new brake energy regeneration system called i-Eloop. The new Mazda6 Wagon will show off under the lights of the Paris Motor Show starting on September 27. Public days run from September 29 through October 14.
