Es una puesta al día del modelo que comenzó a venderse en 2007. Estará disponible a finales de 2011, principios de 2012. Los cambios en el exterior son pequeños. Lo más relevante es la nueva forma de los faros delanteros, que ahora se asemejan mucho a los del prototipo CX-F y a los de la berlina XJ. También varía el diseño de los parachoques, el tamaño de las entradas delanteras de refrigeración y los pilotos traseros. En el interior los cambios son aún menos perceptibles. Los mandos de la consola central y los asientos tienen un diseño ligeramente diferente. El sistema de audio ha sido mejorado y ahora incorpora dos entradas USB. El XF estrena un motor diésel con 4 cilindros, 2,2 litros, 190 CV y 450 Nm de par motor. Está asociado a una caja de cambios automática desarrollada por ZF con 8 velocidades. El consumo medio oficial es de 5,4 litros cada 100 Km, un buen dato, en cuya obtención juega un papel importante el nuevo sistema de parada y arranque automático del motor, más conocido como Start&Stop. El XF diésel de 190 CV acelera de 0 a 100 Km/h en 8,5 segundos y alcanza una velocidad máxima de 225 Km/h. La unidad del vídeo es un XF-S, que lleva el motor diésel V6 de 3 litros y 275 CV que se comercializa en la actualidad.

2012 Jaguar XF Facelift 385 BHP 5000cc Engine XFR on the way with 510 BHP HQ Song: Gramatik - Just Jammin Instrumental Enjoy & Comment! There has been a lot of conversation lately about electric cars and racing, with some even talking about introducing the technology into the F1 stage. Nissan, on its part, has a lot to gain in terms of awareness given the brands focus on the development of dedicated electric vehicles like the Leaf. With this in mind, the Japanese carmaker developed a purpose-built prototype racer loosely based on the production Leaf that will receive its first public outing at the 2011 New York International Auto Show . Compared to the production model, the Lead NISMO RC (for Racing Competition), does away with the rear doors, rear seat, trunk, audio system, navigation, carpeting and other amenities, while gaining a mid-ship location for the battery pack, electric motor and inverter. The dedicated racer also gets a full carbon fiber monocoque bodywork with removable front and rear sections, fixed windows, LED headlights and taillights and driver-adjustable rear wing. It features a 3.9-inch shorter wheelbase, and is 0.8 inches longer and 6.7 inches wider than the production Leaf, with the most dramatic change concerning height as the RC sits more than a foot (13.8 inches) lower than the road-going model, and ground clearance is limited to 2.4 inches. More importantly, at 2,068 pounds (938 kg), the race version of the Leaf weighs in at about 40 percent less than the production vehicle. Underneath the carbon fiber skin, the NISMO RC features a mid-mounted lithium-ion battery and a 80kW AC synchronous motor that generates 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, both sourced directly from the production model. However, power is transferred to the rear-wheels versus the production Leaf's front-wheel drive. The NISMO RC also makes us of a double-wishbone suspension design front and rear and driver-adjustable brake balance, while it rides on 18-inch 6-spoke wheels and P225/40R18 Bridgestone racing tires. Nissan says that in preliminary testing, the NISMO RC returned 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 6.85 seconds and a top speed of 93 miles per hour, adding that it is projected to have a running time of around 20 minutes under racing conditions. Anticipation is running so high for Scion's version of the Toyota FT-86 sports coupe that some couldn't wait for the official reveal of the FR-S later today at the New York Auto Show, and dropped the first pictures of the car onto the web. From what we can tell from these two photos, the Japanese automaker has changed the design again with the FR-S sporting a new front bumper that does away with the Geneva Show FT-86 II's aftermarket-like LED strips, while also featuring a different rear bumper and diffuser, as well as more pronounced rear fenders. The gaudy side vents are also gone while the study is equipped with different exterior mirrors. That's about all we have on the Scion FR-S for now, but we'll bring you all the details and photos later in the day. The 2012 XF benefits from revisions to the grille, hood, and front fenders, which incorporate new triangular side vents, while Jaguar also added larger tail lamps with full-LEDs for stop, tail light and turn signal functions. In addition, the trunk lid trim has been redesigned. The XFR's newly styled bumpers and alloy wheels complete the exterior makeover. Inside, the changes are more subtle with the XF gaining a new steering wheel, revised seats, a modified instrument panel and optional 1200W Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system. In North America, the 2012 XF continues with the existing engine lineup that includes a 385HP 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8, a 470HP 5.0-liter supercharged V8 and a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 510HP in the XFR. In Europe and other markets, however, Jaguar is introducing the 2.2-liter four-cylinder AJ-i4D turbo diesel, which is a development of the Ford unit found in the Land Rover Freelander. The oil burner puts out 190HP and 450Nm of peak torque, and is linked to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar says that with this engine, the XF reached 60mph (96 km/h) in 8.0 seconds en route to a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h), while returning a 52.3mpg UK (equal to 43.6 mpg US or 5.4 lt/100 km) on the EU combined cycle, making it the most economical Jaguar ever.

A saloon with the soul of a Jaguar sports car, the XF has won accolades and enthusiastic fans across the globe for its dynamic abilities and dramatic looks. Advances in lighting technology have allowed the new 2012 Jaguar XF model range to adopt the bold Jaguar design language introduced on the flagship XJ saloon. Sheetmetal revisions to the grille, bonnet and front wings incorporating new triangular side vents give the car a more muscular, purposeful appearance. The range-topping XFR receives its own unique, overtly assertive design to underline its performance potential while an alternative 'Aerodynamic' option is available on all other derivatives for a total of three dramatically different styling options. The headlamps now incorporate bi-function HID xenon technology that allows them to be much slimmer and more compact while still providing outstanding beam resolution. They also incorporate LED daytime running lights arranged in a distinctive Jaguar 'J-Blade' signature pattern for instant recognition. The tail lamps have been entirely renewed and now extend onto the central portion of the boot lid. These new units are now full-LED for stop, light and indicator functions and give the Jaguar XF a distinctive night-time rear signature. Separating them is a revised boot lid finisher with a gloss black lower edge for a cleaner appearance. The boot also features power closure on all models. Three new paint colours and an expanded alloy wheel selection ranging from 17 to 20-inch provide the finishing touches to the revised styling. 'The XF has rightly been recognised as a quintessential Jaguar saloon. It is purposeful yet elegant, with inherent sporting intent in its design.
