Stutz est une marque automobile Américaine qui a été fondée en 1912 par Harry C. Stutz et qui a produit des voitures jusqu'en 1935. En aout 1968, un financier New Yorkais, James O'Donnell, ressuscite la marque, il confie le design d'un projet de voiture néo rétro à Virgil Exner, un styliste réputé du Groupe Chrysler. Un prototype réalisé par Ghia et donc présenté en 1970 à l'Hôtel Waldorf Astoria de New York. C'est le début de l'histoire de la Stutz Blackhawk qui sera produite de 1972 à 1987. La Stutz Blackhawk est une voiture très spéciale : c'était la voiture la plus chère du monde en son temps ! Elle coûtait 43 000 $ en 1973, pour comparer, une Cadillac Eldorado 1973 très luxueuse coûtait environ 8 000 $. En quinze ans de production, la Stutz Blackhawk a été construite à 617 exemplaires seulement, tout modèles confondus. Le prix de la Stutz Blackhawk était très élevé car elle était totalement exclusive et très luxueuse pour son époque : sellerie cuir, climatisation, siège et vitre électrique, placage de bois précieux, métaux intérieurs en plaqué or ... La Stutz Blackhawk était assemblé à la main à Turin en Italie sur un châssis de Pontiac Grand Prix, elle était motorisé par un V8 General Motors de 7,5 litres de cylindrée préparé à 425 chevaux. ** This is my first car that was given to me and the first one I drove at age of 13, thanks to this car my car collection began, my dad said to me when you bought it: '' Its 2k its big n tough so im not going to worry if you crash it, nothings going to happen to you nor the car'' now its 99% finished im just searching for one of the rims, well its a very limited production car due to the fact that this car HAD to hit the European market and thats why they made it a Diesel engine ,FWD V8!! its a wierd combination but unfortunately Cadillac failed on the project and stoped doing this car. Also this car was owned by a President in Bolivia Mr. Victor Paz Estensoro. enjoy
