Electric Car QUICKER THAN A FERRARI ENZO 0-60 3.07 sec!
Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $1.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms. It takes 7.5 kWh of electricity to refine one gallon of gasoline. That same 7.5 kWh can power a Nissan Leaf for 30 miles. Electric Car faster THAN A FERRARI ENZO 0-60 3.07 sec! In-Car of ELECTRIC 0-60mph 3.07 sec - Wrightspeed Electric car vs Ferrari. Martin Stamatis 4.577 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) drag race
Western Australian Martin Stamatis became the fastest Australian drag racer at the recent Sydney Summernationals on Saturday February 16 when he blasted his Fastlane Software Jim Read Racing top fuel dragster to a top speed of 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) down the WSID quarter mile. The fastest speed recorded by an Australian on Aussie soil was previously held by his team mate, Phil Read who ran 329.02 mph (529.51 kmh) at the 2006 Boxing Day International Top Fuel Challenge. Although the margin may be minimal to some, for Stamatis the speed was a great personal achievement for him and his hard working team, and the 4.577 second ET from the run is also now only just behind Phil Read's personal best of time 4.571 seconds, leaving the entire Read team really pumped. Stamatis and his team then went on to win the meeting, and are now looking forward to the next top fuel round due to be held in Sydney on May 2 and 3.

Results: Tesla 12.989 second 1/4 mile ET at 103.42 mph, White Zombie 12.468 second 1/4 mile ET at 102.11 mph. A slow run for White Zombie made this Tesla driver feel pretty cool keeping pace not too far behind White Zombie's amazing launch.

KillaCycle New Record 7.86 @ 169 MPH Bandimere Speedway NEDRA event
The KillaCycle has done it again. We broke the _overall_ NEDRA record for electric's in the 1/4 mile. The KillaCycle is the very fastest and quickest EV of any sort in the 1/4 mile. It was a beautiful day at Bandimere Speedway and, as always, the track conditions were perfect. The A123Systems battery propelled us into the recordbooks once again. A123Systems raced ahead of the pack on the NASDAQ on Thursday, and their batteries put us _farther_ ahead of the pack today. I believe we posted the lowest ET (best time) for any vehicle at the track today at Bandimere. There was a very well-attended bracket race going on, and I think the bext ET of any of these powerful- purpose-built interal combustion vehciles was in the low 8's. Notice Eva Hakansson in the left lane on her ElectroCat. While the KillaCycle was busy setting the "unlimited" drag bike NEDRA record, Eva was busy setting the 48 volt division street-legal NEDRA record.
