At V-Max 200, a runway driving event for supercars, an Audi TT R-S awarded its audience with cool launch controls at the beginning of its lap of the runway. It managed to keep up with Nissan GT-Rs, a modified Porsche turbo S and an Audi R8!

The 600 HP APR Stage 3 Audi TTRS - /TUNED
Alabama is the last place you'd expect to find one of the world's largest
tuner companies for German cars, but here, at this facility, APR provides
hardware and software to thousands of Audi and VW customers every month.
Matt helps them with some development testing by providing opinions on
their new Stage 3 package for the Audi TTRS, producing 560 horsepower at the wheels in
a car based on the VW Golf!
2015 Audi TT ► Development, Test and Production
To start with, the new TT will be available with one TFSI and one TDI
engine. At 135 kW (184 bhp) and 169 kW (310 bhp), both four-cylinder
engines offer solid power, but their consumption figures been reduced
compared with the second-generation TT. This also applies to the 228 kW
(310 bhp) 2.0 TFSI, which powers the new TTS. A start/stop system is
available as standard in all power units, while a sound actuator (part of
Audi drive select) provides a sonorous sound.
The TT 2.0 TDI ultra, which will be available at launch with manual
transmission and front-wheel drive, consumes on average only 4.2 liters of
fuel over 100 km (56 US mpg) -- equating to CO2 emissions of 110 grams per
km (177.03 g/mile) and creating a new best value in the segment. As with
all the engines in the new TT, the two-liter diesel, which delivers 135 kW
(184 bhp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft) torque, fulfills the limits of the Euro
The 2.0 TFSI is available in two versions -- in the TT with 169 kW (230
bhp) and 370 Nm (272.90 lb-ft) and in the TTS with 228 kW (310 bhp) and 380
Nm (280.27 lb-ft), in conjunction with an even sportier sound. The Audi TTS
advances in the top performance range -- it takes 4.7 seconds to accelerate
from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph), while the top speed, which is limited to
250 km/h (155.34 mph), is just a formality.
As standard, the 2.0 TFSI in the TT, as well as in the TTS, works with a
manual six-speed transmission, or optionally with the six-speed S tronic.
The dual clutch transmission changes gears at lightning speed and without
any noticeable break in traction. In manual mode, the transmission can be
controlled as required either by rocker switches on the steering wheel (a
standard feature on the TTS) or using the selector lever. In efficiency
mode in the Audi drive select dynamic driving system (another standard
feature on the TTS), the S tronic engages freewheeling when the driver
takes his foot of the accelerator pedal.

2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51

is the last iteration of the W204 C63. With the exception of the very
limited-run Black Series, it's the best C63 that AMG has ever done. Under
its hood sits a hand-built, 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 good for 507
more do you want? Perhaps something more high-tech, and that's where the
Audi RS5 comes in. The sexy coupe from Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm features
a 4.2-liter V-8 that spits out 450 hp. That¹s less power than the 507
Coupe makes, true, but the Audi also features AWD, a dual-clutch
transmission, bigger wheels and tires, plus a trick torque-vectoring rear
differential. Which one is quicker? Which one is more fun to drive? Which

Györ, the Hungarian city on the Danube, is an ideal location for the
manufacturing of high-tech engines and cars. Its merits lie not merely in
the high availability of skilled workers and highly qualified university
AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft., a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG, builds over
1.9 million engines there each year, and assembles the Audi TT model range
and the A3 Cabriolet, among other vehicles, in tandem with the Ingolstadt
plant. Audi Hungaria is the principal engine supplier of the Audi and
Volkswagen Groups, one of Hungary's highest revenue enterprises and also
one of the country's biggest exporters.
ENGINE MANUFACTURING - Engine production (pre-series) started as long ago
as the end of 1993. The engine production plant in Györ, Hungary, was
inaugurated in October 1994. With this move, Audi not only safeguarded its
international competitiveness, it also created a strategic base in Hungary
that is gaining increasingly in importance. Györ now produces almost the
entire range of Audi engines. Some 400 different versions of basic engines
are built there: four, six, eight, ten and twelve-cylinder engines
featuring both TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and
outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and
economical.TDI and FSIFSIGetting more out of every drop of petrol.FSI
technology. The ten millionth engine was completed there in June 2005.
Volume production of the new four-cylinder common rail engines started in
VEHICLE ASSEMBLY - Assembly of the Audi TT models at Györ commenced in
April 1998. The first second-generation Audi TT Coupé left the Audi
Hungaria production line in April 2006, and was followed by the first TT
Roadster of the same generation in that November. The bodyshells, which
have already been painted in Germany, are brought by train from Ingolstadt
to Györ, where they are delivered to the assembly hall. By the end of
2007, 382,445 Audi TT Coupé and TT Roadster cars as well as 216 of the new
Audi A3 Cabriolet had been assembled in partnership with the Ingolstadt
plant. Audi has systematically realised a new, process-oriented production
concept at the plant -- with short distances and fast, direct flows, from
the delivery of parts to the transportation of the assembled cars.

I film two cars, a new Ferrari F12 and Mercedes SLS, both from Dubai (same
owner), chasing eachother around London. It's a shame they don't 'race' at
the lights, but they still both accelerate well.
I then later spot both of them parked up, with the SLS's bonnet up,
connected via jump-leads to a Bentley Continental Flying Spur. After a
while, they seemed to give up and waited for the AA (I overheard). But
later, I saw them driving again, and this time behind a pretty impressive
