5.4L Mustang Racer - Propane - With Susan Roush-McClenaghan
This cars uses an all-aluminum 5.4L, V-8 Ford engine that was originally designed for the Ford GT supercar. This engine is naturally-aspirated with a 12.5:1 compression ratio. Several other changes were required to run on liquid propane, including CNC ported cylinder heads, high performance camshaft and valvetrain, and a wet sump lubrication system, all of which helps these liquid propane-power engines to generate in excess of 700 horsepower. Despite popular misconceptions, propane is actually very safe to use as a motor fuel and has a significantly lower flammability than gasoline. It is also good in cool or hot weather making it ideal for motorsports applications. Propane is the third most popular motor fuel (behind gasoline and diesel), and there are already more than 12 million propane-fueled vehicles on roads across the world. As a green fuel, on average propane fleet vehicles reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 19 percent and create 20 percent fewer nitrogen oxides, up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide, and fewer particulate emissions, as compared to gasoline.

How To Diagnose and Replace a Rear Caliper Using an Infrared Thermometer -EricTheCarGuy
How To Diagnose and Replace a Rear Caliper Using an Infrared Thermometer shows how to use an infrared thermometer to find a bad caliper. This method will also work on front calipers as well. Earlier this year ScannerDanner was visiting the shop and after we came back from a drive in my 2004 Honda Element, we smelled overheated brakes. The smell seemed to be coming from the right rear caliper. Upon further investigation, using an infrared thermometer, I found that that caliper had seized up and needed to be replaced. I've done brake videos like this in the past but never went through this particular diagnostic procedure to figure out what the issue was. It's a method you can use for many other mechanical issues as temperature diagnosis is something that is used throughout the service and repair fields. It's a fast and easy alternative to taking things apart for diagnosis. I hope it's able to help you should you run into similar issues with your own vehicles.
