My 1970 Monte Carlo Racing 2007 LBZ Duramax at Capitol
My Monte racing my buddie's LBZ Duramax Crew Cab. My Monte has a 383 I built with all Scat and H-beam rods, forged bottom end, dished SRP pistons, 2.02 72cc cast heads valvejob and porting done myself, COMP .500/.496 cam, 1.6 Harland Sharp Rockers, Perfomer RPM intake with 650 Thunder Series carb. 2,400 stall converter, TH 350 and stock open 2.73 rear! Cheap 2 1/4 Exhaust with glasspacks. I ran a 14.3 this run. All time best was 13.83 at 97 MPH at 75-80 dragway. Willie's Duramax's best was 14.2 I beleive but he gets a nice jump on my at the line with a 1.7-1.8 60ft time. He has 5'' Magnaflow Exhaust, Hypertech programmer and 35'' Mud Terrains.

We took this INSANE 1970 Monte Carlo out for a test drive and I could
barely handle it. Not because it's not an incredible car, but because I'm
a normal guy used to sports cars and I have never been in anything quite
like this. I had a blast, but would have loved some "pro-street" driving
lessons and a quarter mile track not to mention at least a full tank of gas
before we left! ;)

A set of Duramax's hole shots. Both trucks are 600+ hp. Both have built
trans from Merchant Automotive. Red truck is Fuel heavy. Tan truck is
fuel hungry. Both 4x4. Red truck is lifted 6in and 35s. Both have tie
rod sleeves, and ladder bars.

MadTunes Racing GMC Duramax vs Bobby Pardue's Camaro SS 2010 Indy Edition
I beat Bobby on the tree and finished over a tenth of a second in front of
the Camaro in a heads
up run. The duramax spun all 4 off the line and actually got a worse 60'
than the Camaro (2.04
for the gmc and 2.01 for the Camaro). The duramax had a
better 1/8 mile et but the Camaro beat my quarter mile time
(13.79 for the gmc and 13.71 for the ss). My best run of the night was a
13.60 but never could lauch above 2 lbs Boost due to traction issues. I have had low
1.8 60' times when I lower the torsion bars but I was too lazy on this day.
Bobby's car ran a 13.49 best on the night. His Camaro is bone stock and not even
broken in yet. Enjoyed the runs Bobby! Let me know when you are ready to
tune that beauty!

John's 1986 Buick T-Type Regal 12.017 in 1/4 Mile Third Run
October 21, 2007 at Mid Michigan Motorplex. Third of three runs. It's a
1986 Buick T-Type 3.8 Liter V-6 turbo
driven daily. He ran a 12.017 at 119.26 MPH here, his best to date. Forged
bottom end, Weisco pistons and H-beam rods. Street tires with a 2.026 60
ft, stock Intercooler, built
200 4-R trans, stock 10 bolt 8.5'' posi rear, and 2600 stall "Red Stripe"
converter. He was locking the converter up in 3rd gear with his switch
through the ALDL which gave him two-tenths more than the last time he was
there. Alchohol injection, 6152-E Precision turbo, 60lb injectors, turbo Tweak chip, leaking Poston header, dual 3''
Flowmasters, dump pipe (no cat), and 3'' downpipe. K & N 14'' air filter,
160 thermostat, 93 octane and about 21 psi of Boost usiing Q-Boost controller. Launching at 3 psi of Boost off the parking brake. Ambient
Air temp about 75 degrees. Poor Mustang...he never saw the "hummin
half-a-dozen" coming! Silly pony cars. 3.8 Liter-5.0 Eater!
