Five Stars Ahead (Ford Anglia & Prefect) - 1952
This is the 1952 launch film for the new E100A Ford Anglia and Prefect
range. Shot in 35mm, this film has some lovely shots of Ford's design
studios, the factory at Dagenham, the prototypes undergoing testing, and
finishes with the new cars being used by delighted families. Filled with
optimism, this film captures the mood of motoring from the time, where the
country was emerging from the post-war gloom days and looking to a brighter
1948 Ford Anglia
Up for sale in our Tamp Showroom is this rare, show ready 1948 Ford Anglia.
This beautiful car is a must have for any car show. Brought to the consumer
world in late 1939, and discontinued in late 1948, this short running car
is a true rarity. Captured and restored recently, this beautiful machine
was obviously loved. One look at this car and you can estimate how many
hours went into this build. The engine is a very stout 454 Cubic Inch V8,
with a tremendous amount of labor hours put in, along with a lot of chrome.
Backing this powerhouse up and pushing it to the road, is the 700R4, 4
speed automatic transmission, made popular by hotrod builders because of
its use in Corvettes, Camaros, and the Trans AM. In the
rear, this car comes equipped with a Ford 9", used primarily for it's
durability on the drag strip. Inside the rear end, is a set of 3.50:1
gears, which gives you a tremendous amount of power when you want it, but
without drinking from your gas tank. The car comes equipped with
aftermarket A/C, for the long drives from show to show, as well as several
other comfort features including Ultra Leather interior, done in a
beautiful white finish, with Tangelo Orange accents strewn throughout the
design. Also equipped are Power Windows, to add to the luxury features. The
exterior of this car, is painted in a custom two tone paint called Tangelo
Orange Pearl. The paint reflects the sun in multiple directions with the
idea that you can pick this car out at a show. The car sits on a set of
Hoosiers on the rear, 31x16.5R15, to handle all the power from the engine.
To keep to look flowing, a set of skinny tires for the front. Every detail
on this car was put in place to match every angle needed to win a car show.
The best part of this car, is that it is also a fantastic driving car, so
you even look good on your way to the show! Options include A/C, Power
Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Ultra Leather Interior, Radial Tires and
Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. To see this car in better detail, including over 50

performance desert machines, but we found one that earns it's owner a
living each week banging around on an obscure desert compound. The owner
is hard on his equipment and we took this poor bird of prey under our wing
for a week to transform it into a more vicious desert predator.
