Porsche Sport Driving School - XCAR
Subscribe for more XCAR videos: http://bit.ly/U9XDKc Sports cars are ace. They offer the best dynamics, the quickest acceleration, the sexiest looks and the most roadcred. But what use is all of that if you can't handle the thing? This is where places like the Porsche Sport Driving School come in really handy... The PSDS offers Porsche drivers (and non-Porsche drivers, but they have to hire one) the opportunity to spend up to three days learning how to properly drive their cars. You can undergo three levels of training at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone -- Precision, Performance and Master. They take one, two and three days respectively and can take you from being a beginner to being pretty damn tasty behind the 'wheel. We were invited to have a go at the Precision course. Porsche's Experience centre at Silverstone is a wonderful facility. It can be used to simulate bad weather, ultra-slippery conditions, varying grip-levels or simply a lovely day's drive. The course also gives you access to the legendary Silverstone Grand Prix circuit for an hour a day during your training. That's a pretty sweet deal. There are many areas to play on at the experience centre: the ice hill (guess what that simulates), the kick plate (which forces you into a spin), low-friction circuit (the name says it all) and the handling circuit. Each can be used to hone your skills further and further, taking them to new heights and giving you something that only really dedicated driver training can give you: confidence behind the wheel. Porsche's instructors are top notch. They all know the ins and outs of handling -- not just in a 'man down the pub wot once J-turned his Escort' kinda way. Nope, they're race drivers. You know, bona fide professional drivers. Want to learn how to drive your Porsche properly? Head to the PSDS and get driving. Join the XCAR community... The Iconic Ferrari F40: Enzo's last Ferrari Driven & Revealed
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The Ferrari was the very last car that Enzo Ferrari built. The Iconic Ferrari F40 was the last car that the Italian brand's founder oversaw before he passed away in 1988. The car cost $400,000 when it was new and featured carbon fiber construction along with a mid-engined rear-wheel drive designed. It is powered by a 2.9L twin turbo V8 that puts out just under 500 horsepower. It is extremely light and fast even by today's standards. Mitch Allread: Don't Call it a Rat Rod... - /BIG MUSCLE
It packs a 400 hp diesel out of a Ford F-350, a Dana 80 rear-end, and a look and feel that would make Max Rockatansky feel right at home. This is Mitch Allread's custom fabricated creation and it is, without a doubt, one of the coolest things on the road today. This is a machine that transcends the traditional hot rod formula by breaking down borders and setting its own stage. Whereas most hot-rods are built by custom shops utilizing parts from mail order catalogs, Mitch took a different approach and fabricated just about everything on his ride by hand. Calling this a rat-rod would be an insult - a work of art however... that'd be just fine.
