2012 BMW 335i vs Porsche 911 Carrera S 0-60 MPH Mile High Mashup Test
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Altitude robs horsepower like a thief in the night. However a turbo or a Supercharger can help make up the power loss. What's the fastest car from 0-60 MPH @ 1 mile above sea level? Is it the 300 HP turbo charged 2012 BMW 335i or is it the normally aspirated 400 HP Porsche 911 Carrera S? In other words can the turbocharger on the BMW make up for the power loss that the non-turbo Porsche will suffer @1 nile above sea level or is the wight and 100 HP power difference between the cars just too much. Watch this fun TFLcar Mashup to find out.

2013 Subaru BRZ vs Porsche 911 Carrera S Mile High Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Most people certainly won't cross shop a 2013 Subaru BRZ and the all new Porsche 911 Carrera S. Yet in many ways the two cars are very similar. They both have a similar type of flat engine, they both seat 2 comfortaby but you can get 4 people into the cars in a pinch, and they are both are classic rear wheel drive sports cars. Of course the Porsche cost 4X the money and has exactly 2X the horsepower of the BRZ and yet it is currently and possibly the most desired car by twenty something year olds. The Porsche is verging on super car status and yet it is possibly the most desired car by forty something year olds. Check it out as we mashup these two cars in this Mile High review to see what makes them so similar to each other.
2012 BMW 650i M Package Coupe Drive and Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 BMW 650i M Package Coupe is no longer the ugly duckling of the BMW family as it now sports a much more modern and elegant design. Gone is slightly awkward mishmash of cut lines replaced by a lowered, stretched and widened car with huge helping of serious road presence. If you like your BMW's shaken and not stirred...this is the one for you.
Performance: In a word...earth stopping. The BMW 650i Coupe's 32-valve V-8, aluminum put our 400 HP with 450 pound feet of torque. And in this case it is the torque that you can really feel a the car pushes you back in the drivers seat like a pissed off samurai when you floor the car in almost any of it's eight...that's right...eight forward gears. BTW: Our tester had the M Sport package which cost $4,400 dollars more and adds body kit, LED fog lights, and an M steering wheel, amoung other expensive goodies.
Ride and handling are really up to you as the BMW lets you select through comfort plus, comfort, sport, and sport plus settings. That's right, while most cars only have three settings the BMW goes to four. And each of the setting actually works so much so that you can instantly feel the difference between comfort and sport. Perhaps the only complaint is the steering which is electronic and somewhat dislocated from the front wheels.

2012 BMW 335i 3 Series Drive and Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The all new 2012 BMW 335i isn't really all that new. Instead of a risky extreme makeover for their most popular model BMW continues to subtly refine the 3-series. This latest and newest model has been stretched by 3.7 inches overall which can mainly be felt by those in the back seats with their knees. Perhaps the most obvious change are the new headlights which now give the car a more determined and perhaps serious gaze at the road ahead. Inside BMW also tweaked the dashboard with a more pronounced driver-oriented center console as well as a traditional parking brake instead of the electronic brake that are now all the rage in the industry.

VW Golf R vs MINI Cooper S Coupe 0-60 MPH mile high Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Volkswagen Golf R is the fastest, most powerful and best handling VW Golf you can buy. Unlike the VW GTI it has all-wheel-drive and more powerful 256 horsepowerturbo-charged engine. The 2012 MINI Cooper S Coupe might just be the best handling and fastest MINI in the land but unlike the Golf R it is front wheel drive. It also has a turbo charged engine but it has only two doors and it barely seats two so it certainly doesn't compete with the Golf R....or does it. In another fun and unique TFLcar Mashup we compare apples to oranges to see which car is the better ride.

2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Test Drive & Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/porsche/911/2012/ The Porsche 911 recently got a thorough refresh for the 2012 model year. This is the 7th generation of 911 to hit the American car market. Since the 1960's Porsche has been known to produce some of the fastest sports cars the world over. But in recent years the Porsche brand as combined high end luxury with their 911 sports car. There are literally 18 different models of the Porsche 911 for the 2012 model year with the base price Carrera costing $79,000 and the top of the line turbo S with the PDK transmission costing $172,100. But the model reviewed here costs about $105,000.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 400 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. of torque. There are 2 different transmission choices available; the first is a 7-speed manual gearbox that features a long ration 7th gear to help aid in fuel economy, and the second transmission is a 7-speed PDK is a double-clutch gearbox that can change gears within milliseconds. Fuel economy is 22 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has some great fuel saving technologies. First with the PDK transmission, the 911 has what is called coating mode which essentially drops the RPMs to less than 1k so that the car uses less fuel. There is a start-stop system which shuts the engine off while stopped. This technology is commonly found on hybrid vehicles.
For this new refresh Porsche made many styling changes. But you can rest easy know the same basic body style that has remained over the past couple of decades is still quite evident. This 7th generation Porsche 911 Carrera is a bit wider with the wheel base getting stretched by 4 inches. With those new dimensions, the 2012 Porsche 911 now has a much better ride. At the rear of the car are newly designed taillights featuring LED lights.
As mentioned earlier, the new direction Porsche is taking is to integrate the best luxury amenities and materials as possible into their sports cars. The 911 is no exception as it benefits from great 18-way adjustable seats, an Alcantara headliner, as well as premium materials covering most surfaces in the cabin. Safety wise the Porsche 911 has a handful of front and side impact airbags that feature a two-stage impact system. The bags partially inflate in minor accidents and fully inflate for serious accidents thereby minimizing discomfort for the passengers in slower fender benders.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is a luxurious sports car that can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in the low 4-seconds range. The 911 has all the creature comforts and technological gadgets you could ever want. And to top it all off this is one great looking sports car.
