Building my Small Block Chevy Nova SS restoration Video Series Part 2
Here is Part #2 of my Nova SS restoration video series. This video shows
the rebuilding of my small block chevy. 350 bored 30 over, 10/10 crank,
forged pistons, crane 3/4 race cam (Hy. Fl. Tap.), 305 H.O. Heads with HD
springs, edelbrock performer EPS intake, headers, edelbrock 650, HEI, etc.
Motor is set up to run at 11:1 CR w/the 305 heads. Cam is built for high
compression (10-11.5:1). Estimated horse around 375 CHP. Sweet spot for tq
is estimated to be around 4500 RPM, revs to 6500, floats valves at 6800.
1/4 mile estimate around 13.5 seconds w/slicks.

with a garden hose...thats where the steam is coming from @ the end of the
So let me explain a little something to everyone that thinks they know what
they are talking about
I am no longer building any REBUILT standard / stock 350's Key word Is
stock standard 350.
I am only building NEW 383's and up
YES i know a 383 is a 350 block using a 400 crank...This is the old school
poor man method...which yes I have done and still do on occasion.
But I start now with a brand new DART block a New EAGLE 383 crank and rods
and I have been using Dart Pro comp or to save you some money NKB heads.
I sell the motors complete carb to pan with Intake Distibutor coil wires
water pump fuel pump alternator pullys flexplate starter power steering
pump plugs filter and oil all your brackets and sheet metal Turn key just
add 12 volts a ground and some gas and you ready to go.Turn key crate
engine stage 2 starts at $5,000 @ 500 HP
we also build 406 , 421 , 427 . 434 SBC @ 625 HP and BBC starting @ 505
Cubic Inch 555 and the popular 572 BBC @ 725 HP

Replacing valve stem seals in 305 H.O. small block chevy from 1986 Monte Carlo SS
I'm putting the original 305HO back in the Monte after taking the ZZ3 out
for my Iroc project. This is mainly to make the car mobile but it may end
up tagged with this engine for a while. Previous owner reported that this
305 has over 100k miles on it and has been out of the car since 1997. He
said it smoked during startup and sure enough the valve stem seals were
worn out. Hopefully this will fix the issue.
vette vs. fbird
1991 350 vette racing a 1985 305 firebird. Sorry, I have to clarify. The
bird was heavily modified ( estimated 300 horsepower), the vette
without any modifications.
Nasty chevy 305 400hp
400hp 305 ported heads custom camshaft 850hp holley dp 9.5:1 compression,
just spare parts i had laying around. file fit moly rings stock crank and
stock pistons with 80,000 miles just new bearings. I built this engine for
the burnout competition for car craft, after car craft in goes the big
block. just hope i finish painting it....
69 Chevelle with new 355 and nice Lunati BM II cam 350 Chevy
355 with Flat tops, 10.5 to 1 comp. Lunati Bracket Master II cam .480 lift
292 duration, ported 64 CC Double Hump heads, Full roller rockers, Holley
Street Dominator intake, 750 Holley carb, MSD cap and 8.5 wires, Full
length headers going into a pair of Dynomax race bullets.
Engine backed by a freshly rebuilt turbo 350 with a 2000 RPM stall.
