TX2K23 Day 1 Street Racing

March 15th, 2023

Once again, it’s almost time for TX2K(23) and the competitors can’t wait to get on the dragstrip. A handful of hardcore elites have spilled over the border into Mexico for some roll racing on the interstate. Get a grip because this is about to get rowdy.

The camera car is a Dodge Charger Scat Pack capable of producing 1,100hp. Whoa! He ain’t getting that outta no HEMI on Scat Pack! This Mopar has been modified with a 411 cubic-inch stroker motor and a Whipple 3.0-liter supercharger. Other enhancements include a custom ground camshaft, upgraded fuel supply and injection and an E85 tune. He also has a 200hp kit of nitrous, if needed. Now, I get it.

First up, the Charger takes on a modified Camaro ZL1 (factory supercharged). The Camaro has undergone a weight reduction and has a 10-speed automatic transmission. He’s claiming 780hp. Let’s see it all.

Whoop! There it is! The Camaro gets the initial jump at 60 mph. The Charger quickly closes the distance and pulls up even for an extended period of time. Out of nowhere, the Chevy seems to find another gear (there are 10 of them), and blows past the Dodge for the win.

There are many more close races – just like this one – on this clip.
