Camaro LT1 vs. Modified Mustang – Street Rolls

March 17th, 2022

Camaros have been racing Mustangs since muscle cars first rolled off the assembly line. The rivalry rages-on in the streets (of Mexico) and on the track. This video provides documentary evidence.

The Camaro LT1 is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that can turn 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. The Camaro weighs in at 3,339-poumds and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5-seconds. This Camaro has been modified with a set of exhaust headers, some weight reduction has also been done and it has an E85 tune from Max Effort.

The 5.0 Mustang uses a naturally aspirated V8 motor mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It has been enhanced with performance camshafts and a full assortment of bolt-ons.

This should be a close contest. Let’s get them lined up.

The first hit begins at 50 mph and has the Mustang pulling away around the 100 mph mark. Surprising victory for the Ford.

The next one is more of the same – but even closer. Camaro FTW in multiple hits.

You don’t want to miss the rest of the street racing action on this one.
