This outstanding video documents a new world record by the most advanced supercar on the planet.

In 2018, Bugatti plans to raise the bar even higher in the top-speed record for a production car category. They plan to accomplish this monumental task with the 1,500hp (1,180 lb.-ft. of torque) Chiron.

In route to setting a new top-speed world record, Bugatti took a little time to set a new world record for a production car to go from a standing halt to 400 km/h (249 mph) to a complete stop. This feat was accomplished in only 42-seconds.

The Bugatti Chiron is at the forefront in high-performance production vehicles. This all-wheel drive beauty makes horsepower using an 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder engine with four-turbochargers. It claims a top-speed of 261 mph and has a price tag of $3-million.
