http://www.rccaraction.com http://www.modelairplanenews.com http://www.amainhobbies.com In this week's show, we take an in depth look at the all new Traxxas Funny Car, some crazy aerobatics with a sick sport plane, a flight over Niagra Falls, some paddle tire fun, and much more. Traxxas Funny Car
The new Traxxas Funny Car! Get all the details here: http://www.rccaraction.com/blog/2012/04/02/traxxas-funny-car-exclusive-vide o/ Outrageous horsepower, Intense Speed, and the Unmatched Realism
Cubic-inch for cubic-inch, no motorsport offers as much sheer power and performance as NHRA drag racing. A single funny car produces more horsepower than the first 8 rows of cars in a stock-car race. Drivers pull more than five Gs when they launch, accelerating faster than a fighter jet. Over 300mph is achieved in about the time it takes to read this sentence. The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car Race Replica brings it all to life the Traxxas way with outrageous horsepower, intense speed, and the unmatched realism and authenticity that only comes from being both fans and dedicated participants in NHRA drag racing. The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car accurately captures the total racing experience with realistic staging action on the start line. After your burnout, shake up your opponent by being the last one to roll into the stage beam. When the lights go green, release the Launch Control for a perfect reaction time. You've already set your wheelie bar and used the multi-function knob on your transmitter to fine-tune the launch for maximum traction and acceleration. From there, it's up to you to keep it full throttle down the track and across the finish line. Off the track, the realism continues with tilt-up licensed bodies developed from the full size CAD drawings, tube style chassis, super-sticky belted slicks, and accurate detailing. The front latch eliminates body clips for fast access to the battery compartment. The full suspension system is engineered to give the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car the ability to handle the ruts and bumps of real world track surfaces. Combined with the Traxxas DTS-1 Drag Timing System (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link application on your TQi Docking Base (all sold separately), Traxxas drag racing becomes a full-on simulation with timing so accurate, races are won and lost by a millisecond. Only Traxxas could bring this level of intense racing competition and all-out fun together in such a tightly engineered package. Realistic "Tube" Chassis
The steel, welded-tube construction of the full-size John Force Racing Funny Cars is replicated by the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car's gleaming black-chrome chassis. Details including the front-mounted fuel tank (non-functional, of course) and driver's roll cage give the Funny Car authentic looks to match its realistic performance. The wheelie bar is a functional tuning aid that helps the Funny Car transfer weight to the rear wheels for a perfect launch.   TQi 2.4GHz Intelligent Transmitter
The World's Most Advanced Ready-To-Race® Radio System The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car is equipped with the TQi,™ the world's most advanced Ready-To-Race® radio system. The radio system is the sole connection between the driver and machine and the all-new Traxxas TQi has been engineered to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. The TQi radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features including steering and throttle sensitivity, steering percentage, braking strength, servo end points, and more. The unique 4-channel transmitter allows you to select Burnout, Staging, and Race Modes. When you're ready to pull the trigger and race, the Launch Control switch lets you hold full throttle and flip the switch to launch. Use the multi-function knob to dial in the ET-3s speed control's torque settings for the quickest launches. Tune for temperature and track conditions just like the pro's. The TQi's long-range, high-output, 2.4GHz signal combines with proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance.
It's so advanced, it doesn't even need an external antenna.

URC is as active as ever at http://UltimateRC.com/forums/ ! If you have RC-related questions or want to share your own experiences, sign up for the free & friendly URC Forums & join *thousands* of other RCers interacting every single day! Responses to Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Do you have a video of/about _______? A: Check by visiting my main channel page; hit the channel-specific search box and enter a relevant keyword (fewer the better) Q: Why haven't you made new videos in a long time? A: My local RC track facility was forced to move a long ways away. Meanwhile, nearly every open space in my heavily populated area (San Francisco, California region) is *explicitly* off-limits to RCs and regularly patrolled by rangers and/or police and I've been booted once too many times. I've got no good place to legally drive & film within a reasonable distance :( Q: Will you ever return to the RC hobby? A: I sure hope so! Plan is to try to buy a house with enough land to build my own little private track / testing facility, if the real estate market allows. Q: Why did you disable comments on your existing videos on this channel? A: You know, *most* RC hobbyists are cool folks. YouTube though, harbors an extraordinarily large population of the most vitriolic, extremist, hyper-fanboys who make it their life's purpose for weeks at a time to develop and then spread the most ridiculous fabricated stories to try to tear down a guy who happened upon a little success & popularity as a result of working hard & sharing something he loves to do. I'm not into that. Normal human beings who want to chat up a storm about RCs can do so on the forums where there's a sense of community as well as accountability. Q: Is URC (which stands for UltimateRC.com) dead? A: Silliest question of all time, hands down. Visit http://UltimateRC.com/forums & hit "View New Posts" for your answer! Q: With RC testing on the backburner, are you doing anything instead? A: I've merely shifted from one type of toy to another! Check out http://www.JANGBRiCKS.com . With the same level of dedication I previously applied to RC, I've built YouTube's most-viewed narrative review channel for LEGO & other brick-based building systems. LEGO is the world's single most popular toy for ages 2 to 100 and has a remarkably positive & supportive global fanbase. Like with RC, what outsiders think of as "just kids toys" is actually a vast & diverse world of often very complex builds & challenges. Unlike with RC, though, all of the parts are compatible, pieces from the 1970s are still fully usable today, and there are no rain cancellations or surprise track closures or park rangers to contend with :D

Traxxas NHRA Funny Car... So Easy a 5 Year Old Can Run It!
My 5 year old son learning to run the Traxxas 1/8 Dragster. He's got the controls and driving modes mastered, but tends to oversteer a lot because he is used to his daily driver which is an emaxx on 4s. Steering on the emaxx is optional since it pretty much runs over or through anything in its way. He has taken a liking to this new Funny car in a big way, so we will keep honing his skills. He's a very quick learner, so i'm sure he'll be putting down some respectable speeds in no time.

Traxxas Funny Car Unboxing, TQi features, and nasty head to head race crash
We do our Traxxas FunnyCar unboxing, followed by an overview of the TQi feature unique to the Funny Car. Then some parking lot runs, 3s lipo speed test, a couple of heads up races, and one nasty crash.
