Responses to Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Do you have a video of/about _______? A: Check by visiting my main channel page; hit the channel-specific search box and enter a relevant keyword (fewer the better) Q: Why haven't you made new videos in a long time? A: My local RC track facility was forced to move a long ways away. Meanwhile, nearly every open space in my heavily populated area (San Francisco, California region) is *explicitly* off-limits to RCs and regularly patrolled by rangers and/or police and I've been booted once too many times. I've got no good place to legally drive & film within a reasonable distance :( Q: Will you ever return to the RC hobby? A: I sure hope so! Plan is to try to buy a house with enough land to build my own little private track / testing facility, if the real estate market allows. Q: Why did you disable comments on your existing videos on this channel? A: You know, *most* RC hobbyists are cool folks. YouTube though, harbors an extraordinarily large population of the most vitriolic, extremist, hyper-fanboys who make it their life's purpose for weeks at a time to develop and then spread the most ridiculous fabricated stories to try to tear down a guy who happened upon a little success & popularity as a result of working hard & sharing something he loves to do. I'm not into that. Normal human beings who want to chat up a storm about RCs can do so on the forums where there's a sense of community as well as accountability. Q: Is URC (which stands for UltimateRC.com) dead? A: Silliest question of all time, hands down. Visit http://UltimateRC.com/forums & hit "View New Posts" for your answer! Q: With RC testing on the backburner, are you doing anything instead? A: I've merely shifted from one type of toy to another! Check out http://www.JANGBRiCKS.com . With the same level of dedication I previously applied to RC, I've built YouTube's most-viewed narrative review channel for LEGO & other brick-based building systems. LEGO is the world's single most popular toy for ages 2 to 100 and has a remarkably positive & supportive global fanbase. Like with RC, what outsiders think of as "just kids toys" is actually a vast & diverse world of often very complex builds & challenges. Unlike with RC, though, all of the parts are compatible, pieces from the 1970s are still fully usable today, and there are no rain cancellations or surprise track closures or park rangers to contend with :D

1 Traxxas Funny Car / Dragster / Sand Drag / Flysky FS-iT4
I recently purchased a flysky fs-it4 and decided I would need a car to test its functions with. This is where the Traxxas Funny Car comes in, with its high speeds and huge power consumption I could test all the telemetry functions of my transmitter. I will be using voltage, speed, and heat sensors on this car. I will also do a few changes to it to make it more "FUN". I will be using it for sand dragster function as well and the funny car body goes out the waste side for the naked look of a dragster, sorry for the short length guys but I decided to keep stock wheelbase for ease of build and super long as real dragsters would be a problem for sand rail duty. Using metal gears all over, metal gear servo as well. E-Revo 17mm hex adapters used to adapt to sand tires. Now for those that might be wondering, the Traxxas Funny car does bring these telemetry functions and then some, but because everyone already knows how that works I decided it would be a good idea how this transmitter compared as an option for those that might just get a roller chassis of the vehicle to do their own modds.

400cc custom go-kart test drive
This is a go-kart that my son and I have built. We started building it 11 months ago. It has a 400cc Briggs & Stratton motor and a peerless/tecumseh 800 transaxle - 5 speed with reverse. The spider gears are welded for posi traction. All of the framing was built from scratch. The gas and brake controls use a combination of hard linkage and wire. The clutch and shifter use hard linkage. It also has a choke cable underneath the shifter. We're almost done testing all of the controls on it. Once we get all of the bugs worked out it will get a saftey harness and a roll bar(maybe a full cage). At the end of this video the belt does fall off the rear pulley - it turns out that the left side post broke off of the mounting bracket - a little welding with that guard should fix the problem. The engine needs a new plug and the carb needs some adjustment.
