A: My local RC track facility was forced to move a long ways away. Meanwhile, nearly every open space in my heavily populated area (San Francisco, California region) is *explicitly* off-limits to RCs and regularly patrolled by rangers and/or police and I've been booted once too many times. YouTube though, harbors an extraordinarily large population of the most vitriolic, extremist, hyper-fanboys who make it their life's purpose for weeks at a time to develop and then spread the most ridiculous fabricated stories to try to tear down a guy who happened upon a little success & popularity as a result of working hard & sharing something he loves to do. Traxxas Funny Car
The new Traxxas Funny Car! Get all the details here: http://www.rccaraction.com/blog/2012/04/02/traxxas-funny-car-exclusive-vide o/ Outrageous horsepower, Intense Speed, and the Unmatched Realism
Cubic-inch for cubic-inch, no motorsport offers as much sheer power and performance as NHRA drag racing. A single funny car produces more horsepower than the first 8 rows of cars in a stock-car race. Drivers pull more than five Gs when they launch, accelerating faster than a fighter jet. Over 300mph is achieved in about the time it takes to read this sentence. The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car Race Replica brings it all to life the Traxxas way with outrageous horsepower, intense speed, and the unmatched realism and authenticity that only comes from being both fans and dedicated participants in NHRA drag racing. The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car accurately captures the total racing experience with realistic staging action on the start line. After your burnout, shake up your opponent by being the last one to roll into the stage beam. When the lights go green, release the Launch Control for a perfect reaction time. You've already set your wheelie bar and used the multi-function knob on your transmitter to fine-tune the launch for maximum traction and acceleration. From there, it's up to you to keep it full throttle down the track and across the finish line. Off the track, the realism continues with tilt-up licensed bodies developed from the full size CAD drawings, tube style chassis, super-sticky belted slicks, and accurate detailing. The front latch eliminates body clips for fast access to the battery compartment. The full suspension system is engineered to give the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car the ability to handle the ruts and bumps of real world track surfaces. Combined with the Traxxas DTS-1 Drag Timing System (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link application on your TQi Docking Base (all sold separately), Traxxas drag racing becomes a full-on simulation with timing so accurate, races are won and lost by a millisecond. Only Traxxas could bring this level of intense racing competition and all-out fun together in such a tightly engineered package. Realistic "Tube" Chassis
The steel, welded-tube construction of the full-size John Force Racing Funny Cars is replicated by the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car's gleaming black-chrome chassis. Details including the front-mounted fuel tank (non-functional, of course) and driver's roll cage give the Funny Car authentic looks to match its realistic performance. The wheelie bar is a functional tuning aid that helps the Funny Car transfer weight to the rear wheels for a perfect launch.   TQi 2.4GHz Intelligent Transmitter
The World's Most Advanced Ready-To-Race® Radio System The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car is equipped with the TQi,™ the world's most advanced Ready-To-Race® radio system. The radio system is the sole connection between the driver and machine and the all-new Traxxas TQi has been engineered to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. The TQi radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features including steering and throttle sensitivity, steering percentage, braking strength, servo end points, and more. The unique 4-channel transmitter allows you to select Burnout, Staging, and Race Modes. When you're ready to pull the trigger and race, the Launch Control switch lets you hold full throttle and flip the switch to launch. Use the multi-function knob to dial in the ET-3s speed control's torque settings for the quickest launches. Tune for temperature and track conditions just like the pro's. The TQi's long-range, high-output, 2.4GHz signal combines with proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance.
It's so advanced, it doesn't even need an external antenna.

400cc custom go-kart test drive
This is a go-kart that my son and I have built. We started building it 11 months ago. It has a 400cc Briggs & Stratton motor and a peerless/tecumseh 800 transaxle - 5 speed with reverse. The spider gears are welded for posi traction. All of the framing was built from scratch. The gas and brake controls use a combination of hard linkage and wire. The clutch and shifter use hard linkage. It also has a choke cable underneath the shifter. We're almost done testing all of the controls on it. Once we get all of the bugs worked out it will get a saftey harness and a roll bar(maybe a full cage). At the end of this video the belt does fall off the rear pulley - it turns out that the left side post broke off of the mounting bracket - a little welding with that guard should fix the problem. The engine needs a new plug and the carb needs some adjustment.

John Force Yesterday and Today
CONGRATULATIONS TO JOHN FORCE AND TEAM FOR WINNING HIS 15TH NHRA FUNNY CAR CHAMPIONSHIP!! John Force at the 1986 Spring Nationals before his first National event win and, after 126 wins, the 14 time Champion in Las Vegas. Where would NHRA drag racing be without Team Force!?

Traxxas Funny Car First Drive. FAIL!
Haha broke the shitty traxxas pinion in half first pull the it went down hill from there cool car though

1 Traxxas Funny Car / Dragster / Sand Drag / Flysky FS-iT4
I recently purchased a flysky fs-it4 and decided I would need a car to test its functions with. This is where the Traxxas Funny Car comes in, with its high speeds and huge power consumption I could test all the telemetry functions of my transmitter. I will be using voltage, speed, and heat sensors on this car. I will also do a few changes to it to make it more "FUN". I will be using it for sand dragster function as well and the funny car body goes out the waste side for the naked look of a dragster, sorry for the short length guys but I decided to keep stock wheelbase for ease of build and super long as real dragsters would be a problem for sand rail duty. Using metal gears all over, metal gear servo as well. E-Revo 17mm hex adapters used to adapt to sand tires. Now for those that might be wondering, the Traxxas Funny car does bring these telemetry functions and then some, but because everyone already knows how that works I decided it would be a good idea how this transmitter compared as an option for those that might just get a roller chassis of the vehicle to do their own modds.

Traxxas NHRA Funny Car... So Easy a 5 Year Old Can Run It!
My 5 year old son learning to run the Traxxas 1/8 Dragster. He's got the controls and driving modes mastered, but tends to oversteer a lot because he is used to his daily driver which is an emaxx on 4s. Steering on the emaxx is optional since it pretty much runs over or through anything in its way. He has taken a liking to this new Funny car in a big way, so we will keep honing his skills. He's a very quick learner, so i'm sure he'll be putting down some respectable speeds in no time.

Traxxas Funny Car DRAG
Haha had some fun with the funny car at work today

Traxxas Funny Car Unboxing, TQi features, and nasty head to head race crash
We do our Traxxas FunnyCar unboxing, followed by an overview of the TQi feature unique to the Funny Car. Then some parking lot runs, 3s lipo speed test, a couple of heads up races, and one nasty crash.
