How To Replace Drum Brake Shoes (Full) - EricTheCarGuy
How To Replace Drum Brake Shoes (Full) - EricTheCarGuy http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ Here is a full length version of a video that I posted some time ago, this way you can watch the entire thing in one sitting instead of switching from one video to the next. If your watching this for the first time I'm aware that sandals are not the best thing to wear when doing auto repair. In addition there IS a jack stand just out of frame in the video I just leave the floor jack in place while I work normally where it is so that it's quicker to let the car down when I'm done. --- Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com http://ericthecarguy.com/ Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/default.aspx Visit my Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy --- Stay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.  EricTheCarGuy assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. EricTheCarGuy recommends safe practices when working with power tools, automotive lifts, lifting tools, jack stands, electrical equipment, blunt instruments, chemicals, lubricants, or any other tools or equipment seen or implied in this video.  Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, no information contained in this video shall create any express or implied warranty or guarantee of any particular result.  Any injury, damage or loss that may result from improper use of these tools, equipment, or the information contained in this video is the sole responsibility of the user and not EricTheCarGuy.

How to Remove a STUCK Drum Brake
How to remove a stubborn brake drum, Stuck Brake Drums - Removal, Removing Brake Drums, The "Easy" Way, STUCK DRUM BRAKE? how to get it off!, How to Remove Stubborn Drums Watch how to remove a brake drum that is stuck on. I go through the steps so anyone can remove their drum brake. First try to get it off by wiggling back and forth. Then spray penetrating oil to remove rust between the drum and the seat. Then hit it with a hammer hard. This should free the drum if it is just rusted on. If the drum doesn't come off, then your brakes are probably stuck open preventing the drum from coming off. If this is the case, cut or drill out the holding pins from the back (that hold the shoes in place) and remove the screws to the brake cylinder and then pull the drum off. How To Quickly Flush & Bleed Brakes By Yourself
This video covers how to flush and/or bleed your brakes by yourself in a matter of minutes with a hand vacuum pump. There is no need for a buddy to pump the brakes for you with this method. While I'm working on a 2003 Ford Escort ZX2, this technique works for all hydraulic systems with a bleeder valve. This video is an in-depth guide on how to do this job without the need for power or air tools. The vacuum pump kit I used is: Mityvac MV8000 "Automotive Test and Bleeding Kit" This kit is available at most auto parts stores, and is fairly inexpensive considering how useful and versatile this tool is. The hand pump and accessories are available in different kits as well as individually from various sources. How To Diagnose and Replace a Bad Brake Caliper -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ Brakes are a common DIY project but I often get asked about brake calipers and how to check if they're bad. This video not only shows how to find a bad brake caliper but also how to replace it. It is recommended that you do both sides when you find a faulty brake caliper but it's not necessary. If you're on a budget you can just do one but you might experience a pull to one side when braking if you do this. Otherwise you can follow the steps in this video for caliper replacement. I use my 1997 Subaru Legacy L in this video but the principals and techniques apply to many vehicles both domestic and imported.
