Buyers who feel the 335i is too pedestrian and see the M3 as too expensive can choose the slightly in-between 335is. Introduced in 2011, and based on the E90 body but known as the E92 for the coupe. The 2013 model represents the ultimate in 3-series performance but without the M3 badges. A potent twin-turbo straight-6, quick-shifting dual-clutch transmission, and bellowing Exhaust note certainly makes you feel like you've got a special 335i here, and you certainly do.

2013 BMW 335is - Launch Control Demo
1st Attempt Using Launch Control @ 2,927 (s)miles on the clock. Felt very little acceleration under 4K. Plenty above, though. ;-) Got one good launch in around 2.5K and paddle shifting. Still showed 0-60mph in 4.9 and 0-100mph in 10.5 Guess I need to take it to the drag strip next...

All new BMW 3 Series 2012 Driving
ActiveHybrid 3 Marking a first for the segment, BMW will launch a hybrid version of its new 3-Series during the fall of 2012. The ActiveHybrid 3 will be powered by BMW's 300 horsepower 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder paired to an electric motor that can Boost power by as much as 55 horsepower. BMW says to expect performance on par with the 335i. The ActiveHybrid 3 can travel up to 2.5 miles on all-electric power, with an all-electric top speed of 37mph while under load. The hybrid 3 can coast at speeds up to 100mph while in electric mode. The EPA has yet to test the ActiveHybrid 3 but the car averaged 36.7mpg on the European cycle, representing a 12.5 percent improvement over "equally powerful conventionally driven BMW sports sedans." BMW has yet to release pricing information for the new 3, but we expect to have that information closer to the car's February on-sale date. find out more on : http://www.bmw-i.tk
