1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Two Door Hardtop Road Test - Sold Sold Sold
This 58 For Fairlane 500 two door hardtop is an original black car with the Big Block FE 332 four barrel carburetor. Sold new in California and has the "Black Plates" on it. it was bought by a friend of mine in 2006. He and I went to look at another car in an Oakland but he liked the Ford so he bought it. The car needed a restoration and his wife's father was a bodyman, so it was a family project. The project went home and they bought new sheet metal and parts, welded in new floor pans and rockers. The drivers door was replaced and is not adjusted. All the other original sheet metal was black so we expect it is original to the car. The family had some problems, so the car never got finished. I brought the car to my place and bolted trim back on so you can see how it looks. It has a new 2 1/2 inch Exhaust system, the new sheet metal, front and back seat are recovered with tuck and roll. It runs great, Original Radio Works!
This one is on the way to the Midwest. Enjoy!

1957 Ford Fairlane 500 -83K Miles Police Interceptor 312 - SOLD!
1957 was a great year for the Ford car. When you look at a 1957 Ford
Fairlane 500 today, it is difficult to believe that it is a 50 year old
design. The Fairlane 500 was the top of the Ford line and had a new frame
which allowed a lower height without cutting into the interior roominess.
The car was longer and wider than in previous years, as well.
This 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop is powered by a "Police
Interceptor" Y-block V8, 312 cid (5.1L) 245 hp 4bbl Thunderbird Special.
It has an automatic transmission, power steering, radio, heater, AIR
CONDITIONING, power windows, power seats, a good set of dual Exhausts, and baby moons. Most of the chrome
and stainless pieces are in the trunk. Currently it is painted gold and
the interior has been redone. What a great knock around classic car for
not a lot of money!

1958 ford fairlane 500 2dr hardtop
Having Pops Drive his 1958 ford fairlane for the first time around the
block... Powerplant is a 302 out of a 91 lincoln mark 7 with AOD trans,
B&M shifter, lokar kick down cable, msd ignition, tons of replacement
parts, wilwood master cyl and proportion and residual valves, disc brake
conversion up front, swapped out front clip, trunk floor replaced, trunk
replaced, tons still to do on rust repair but finally she does go down the
road again... 2 1/4" pipes with 1 chamber mufflers... real good sound. This
car was a shell when we got it with tires and wheels that was what we
1969 Ford Fairlane Restoration: Lots of Body Work!
This video shows how we restored Agent 8771's old, beat-to-death 1969
Ford Fairlane coupe. The car had been hit hard in the rear many years ago,
and the frame rails were buckled. This, combined with the major structural
rust throughout, made the car virtually unrestoreable. Agent 8771 didn't
want to give up on the car however, and didn't want to just buy another
similar unit and pretend it was his old car. I decided that we could
replace the whole bottom half of the car with a solid, straight chassis
from a low-mileage 4 door sedan. When one came along at a low price, we
decided to get to work. We saved what we could from his original car,
including the seats, doors, roof, parcel shelf, hood, decklid, and glass.
We also used his old wheels, grille, bumpers, and even his old Exhaust system with the "Thrush" mufflers that
we used to put on our cars! When we were all done, it looked, sounded, and
drove like his old high school car! He even took off the power steering and
substituted his old manual box so that the car would drive just like it
used to. Overall, a really fun project and it makes a great story to tell
people you still have your first car, even if much of it has been "donated"
by another Fairlane sedan!
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy a tour of this project; let me know what you
think! Thanks for watching!
1966 Ford Fairlane Hardtop 427
There's something about stacked headlights and a tag that reads "427".
It's a quintessential 60's look that get's you. If you're going to mess
with a 427FE or SOHC (in a straight line), your Nitrous bottle betta be full! This owner has had
the car for about 30 years and the bond with it is clear. White must be a
horrible color to maintain because I see him wiping it down a lot. I
believe it's a 390 with twin 4bbls but you can't really tell the diff. A
real nice car. Dig the dog dish hub caps. Taken at Lowe's in Abingdon, MD
