buy today? We at The fast Lane Car are lucky to drive a different car every
week so we've had the chance to drive many (if not most) of the best new
fuel efficient cars on the market. We've also been able to test some the
cars at sea level and some a mile above sea level in real world driving. So
without further delay here are the top 7 new cars that we've driven in 2012
that get 40 MPG or higher.
2011 SEMA Feature Profile: Chevrolet Sonic Boom Concept
The Sonic has been represented in serious numbers at SEMA 2011. Chevy spent
a lot of time working with partners to build custom cars, but also designed
a few serious gems of their own. One thing Chevy knew they needed was a
Sonic that would really go "boom!" and hence the Sonic Boom Concept was
The Sonic Boom features a 4,000 watt audio system by Kicker® Performance
Audio, custom 19" wheels, Z-Spec Concept Ground Effects, Grille and
Spoiler, along with an Anodized Flat Red paint job. A custom "Panic Button"
on the front dash activates the Sonic Boom's jet engine- inspired audio
system, opens the trunk and back doors while droppin' the hardcore bass on
any innocent bystanders.
I caught up with Rob Cameron of the Chevrolet Design Team on Monday night
