Yamaha FZ6R Test Ride
My Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/VirusRider010 So as many of you know, especially if you follow me on Facebook, which I recommend, I am looking for a new bike. Today I rode a MT-03 and a FZ6R (but I prefer the XJ6NL as that's what I am interested in). So the MT-03 is a single cylinder 660cc bike. Lots of torque, but not a lot of top end power. Whereas the XJ6NL is a inline 4 600cc motor and is restricted. So what do you prefer?

2014 Yamaha FZ-09! Low-End Torque and an Intense Top-End Rush - On Two Wheels Ep. 47
Does gobs of low-end torque and an intense top-end rush sound appealing? Then you're going to get a kick out of Yamaha's new FZ-09, which sports a feisty 847cc inline-triple bolted into a bare-bones chassis. On this episode of On Two Wheels, Motorcyclist magazine Road Test Editor Ari Henning introduces you to the new Yamaha and gives a breakdown of it's strengths and weaknesses. On Two Wheels appears every other Wednesday on the new Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=motortrend Facebook - http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & http://www.facebook.com/motorcyclistmag Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend Google+ - https://plus.google.com/101867967859016552744/posts Website - http://www.motortrend.com & http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/index.html

2014 Heavyweight Sport-Tourer Shootout
BMW K1600GT vs. Kawasaki Concours14 vs. Triumph Trophy SE vs. Yamaha FJR1300ES It's hard to imagine motorcycles more cut out for a long weekend than these four - all with hard sidebags, great wind protection, shaft drive and everything you need to take your show on the road. Advances in chassis design, electronics, suspension and tires allow these heavy beasts to attack twisty roads with the ferocity of full-on sportbikes from not so long ago, with nary a wobble and barely the drag of an occasional footpeg feeler. And the real beauty is how deliciously comfy they are when getting to and from. Cross Country in a Gasser 1955 Chevy with a Hemi! - Roadkill Ep. 30
On this episode of Roadkill, it's 2,600 miles, 530 cubic inches, 700 horsepower, six speeds, 17 mpg, and two fun visits with some friends from TV. Last time, on Roadkill Episode 29, we finished our Chrysler-Hemi-powered 1955 Chevrolet gasser in about two weeks of thrashing (it's the same car you saw us take, as a bare shell, to Jim Meyer Racing in Oregon in Episode 8). On this latest episode, we drive it around the block once, then hit the road on a 2,600-mile journey from Los Angeles to the kickoff party of the 2014 HOT ROD Power Tour in Concord, North Carolina. On the way, there's the breakdowns you expect from Roadkill, plus two surprises: a stop at Midwest Street Cars with Justin "Big Chief" Shearer and Shawn "Murder Nova" Ellington from Street Outlaws, and another with Rutledge Wood from Top Gear USA.   The '55 Chevy is based on an original body with new quarters and floors and a fiberglass decklid and tilt front end, and Lexan windows from ProGlass. It's not in primer: the car was wrapped in satin black by Moody from High-Tech Auto Wraps. The car sits on a complete gasser chassis from Jim Meyer Racing with a solid front axle on leaf springs and a ladder-bar setup with Vicking coilovers on the rear. The rear tires are reproduction Firestone piecrust slicks from Coker tire, and the fronts are just like stock VW Bug tires.  The engine is a 530ci Hemi based on a Mopar Performance crate engine. With a Comp solid roller cam, 10.5:1 compression, homemade 2-1/4-inch headers from a Hedman kit, and Hilborn stack injection powered by a FAST XFI controller and Aeromotive fuel system, it makes 700 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. We were stunned to see 17 mpg a few times on the cross-country trip, especially with absurd 5.43 gears in the Ford 9-inch rear axle. The key to it all is the Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual double-overdrive trans installed with a conversion kit from American Powertrain. The car uses a Speedwires harness, charging and starting by Powermaster, and a Braille lightweight battery in the trunk. Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=motortrend Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RoadkillShow, http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & http://facebook.com/hotrodmag Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/hotrodmagazine Google + - https://plus.google.com/+motortrend/posts Website - http://www.motortrend.com & http://www.hotrod.com
