RARE PERFECT CONDITION 1941 Buick Super 50 Phaeton 4 door Convertible FOR SALE

It's believed to be the first Phaeton built as well as 1 of only 467 U.S cars built that year, less than 1% of the 377,428 cars Buick produced in '41! 5 year, no expense spared, photo chronicled with 1600 photos, 1000's of receipts totaling a documented $220,000! Restoration was done by the #1 Buick authority in the world Bill Anderson and the entire process is authenticated by noted Buick historian Terry Dunham. Judged one time, scoring a 394 points out of a possible score of 400 (99%) by known authorities Buick club of America and the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). A very deluxe sedan...notice the carpets, the Dynaflow transmission, the chome laden, symmetrical dash! Nothing too fancy in the interior, but everything is of understated, quality materials. The motive power is of course the overhead valve straight eight. You could always tell a Buick by its Exhaust note! There was little difference between the 51 and 52 Buick...slight trim differences.

It's also equipped with power steering and Wilwood 4 wheel power disc brakes! The interior features brand new upholstery, a billet tilt steering column, Sunpro tach and Autometer gauges, and a Pioneer sound system with MP3 playback and USB/AUX inputs! This custom interior and trunk are super clean and extremely well done! The exterior of the car is coated in a Cadillac Diamond White paint and it sits on a high dollar set of Budnik wheels with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires. (26x8x18 fronts and deep dish 29x18x20 rears!) This car is fantastic from top to bottom. It has gorgeous chrome, nice glass, and sits just right! 1947 Buick Super 4 door Sedan Blk
Just to show you that Buick had a very nice family sedan available post war. Notice how nice the fabrics are, surely long wearing, and the bilateral symmetry of the dash..notice the clustering on both sides of the radio speaker. Notice also that the turn signal stalk is on the right side of the steering column, next to the gearshift. The pedal operated parking brake is interesting too, most parking/emergency brakes were of a pistol grip type at this time. Dynaflow would not be available until the 1949 model year.

Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for the largest company in the world."

This is the first startup of my 455 stage 1 after rebuild! It crashed few months ago :((. Exhausts on this teststand are the stock cast headers. carb is a beautyfull barry grant 850 demon on an edelbrock 455 performance intake. cam is a SP 1165R, 112LC. Later, we replaced it with a stock GS cam for smoother running. TA 1.65 red roller rockers. heads flowed and ported. SP/FM hypereutectic pistons. Kenne Bell valve covers. they look kinda cool, don't they? This should push around 390HP with the stock cam and around 430HP with the SP cam! runs like a baby :). listen!
