2012 Acura MDX Test Drive & Luxury SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/acura/mdx/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Acura MDX is one of the top choices in the premium luxury SUV segment. A couple of reasons why the MDX has remained atop the list is that the MDX is one of the most technologically advanced SUVs in this segment, it looks great, the comfort level is high, and it is safe. In fact the 2012 Acura MDX was named a IIHS Top Safety Pick for 2012. The MDX has a base price of $42,930 with the model costing $54,455. The 2012 Acura MDX is powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. Power is transferred to all 4 wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The MDX also features Honda's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive System. SH-AWD essentially sends power to the wheel or wheels that need it most. So while cruising; power is sent to the front wheels. Under hard acceleration; power is sent to the rear wheels. Then in hazardous conditions the system sends power to where it's needed most in order to keep the vehicle safe. The MDX can be loaded with features but those can quickly inflate the price. There is a Technology Package which adds things like Navigation, Premium Sound, Bluetooth, Milano Premium leather seating, and more. The Advance Package includes an Active Dampening System, heated and ventilated front seats, a Blind Spot Alert System, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The Entertainment Package adds a 9-inch rear DVD system among other things. The 2012 Acura MDX is a big player in the luxury SUV segment and should definitely be considered. Acura is known for making luxurious high quality vehicles and the MDX fits that description perfectly. The MDX can also comfortably seat 7 passengers. 2011 BMW M3 Road Test & Car Review - RoadflyTV with Ross Rapoport
The BMW M3 is one of the finest driver's cars ever made, and I was finally lucky enough to spend a week with one. The heart of the M3 is an exquisite 4.0L V8, making 414hp at a wild 8300rpm. Peak torque is 295 lb-ft, but that entire figure is available at just 3900rpm, a stunning mark of tractability in such a high-revving screamer. Our test car was equipped with a 7-speed DCT (BMW's name for the fancy dual-clutch gearbox), and the transmission—like other vehicle characteristics like throttle response and suspension—can be adjusted from 'nice and easy' to 'neckbreaking.' 2011 M3s equipped with this transmission have gone as low as 3.9 sec to 60mph, and 12.5 sec in the 1/4-mile. Yet due to the engine's powerband, it's remarkably civilized around town. Gearing is perfect; even in 7th gear, the car is never caught flat-footed. In fact, at 2000rpm in 7th the car will be going just 50mph! That is great for acceleration, bad for fuel economy: the M3 manages just 14 mpg city and 20 highway and gets slapped with the gaz-guzzler tax. That's really the only chink in the car's armor, and the M3 instantly became the car by which I measure all sports cars by. —Ross Rapoport, Road Test Editor and Video Host Download the window sticker and see additional photos of the M3 at http://roadflytv.com Vehicle: 2011 M3 Coupe Base Price: $58,400 Price as tested: $69,925 Engine: 4.0L 32V V8 Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual (DCT) horsepower: 414 @ 8300 rpm Torque: 295 lb.-ft. @ 3900 rpm 0-60 MPH: 3.9-4.5 sec. JX35 vs. Acura MDX and Audi Q7 | NJ Infiniti Dealer | JX35 Review at Douglas Infiniti by Ken Beam
Douglas Infiniti proudly introduces the all-new 2013 Infiniti JX35. Infinitis first Luxury Cross-over with a 3rd Row Seat. Watch Ken Beam compare this beautiful vehicle to it`s competitors such as the Acura MDX and Audi Q7. A Bold New Expression of 7-Passenger Luxury The demarcation line between the Infiniti JX and other 3-row luxury crossovers starts with the idea that 7-passenger seating should actually and easily welcome all seven passengers. Utilization of a flat platform floor not only enhances 3rd row roominess and provides a long 2nd row total adjustment of 5.5-inches fore and aft for versatile roominess and cargo carrying capacity, it also allows use of a more dramatic styling approach. "The all-new Infiniti JX embraces family customers in a way no luxury crossover has done before -- recognizing their need to grow up, but without growing old," said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore. "Responsibility should come as a reward, rather than as a restriction on the things and activities you enjoyed as a single person or a couple." Key features of the 2013 Infiniti JX include: •Emotive styling and craftsmanship, featuring the new Infiniti design language direction initiated with the Essence concept •Segment-leading overall passenger volume •Segment-leading rear cargo volume (3rd row seats folded, 2nd row seats in forward-most slide position) •More 2nd and 3rd row legroom than a Cadillac Escalade •Access to 3rd row without removing a 2nd row child seat •Infiniti Connection with Google Calendar™, Drive Zone/Speed Alert and Infiniti Personal Assistant •Around View™ Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection •Extensive safety and security technologies, including available world's first Backup Collision Intervention (BCI) system •Available Bose® Cabin Surround® 15-speaker sound system with digital 5.1-channel decoding and a new Acoustic Waveguide subwoofer "Every element of the Infiniti JX is designed to connect the driver and passengers to the world, rather than shield them from it as many luxury crossovers try to do. Our goal is to heighten awareness of your surroundings, so you can get more out of every day," added Poore. "Saying 'no' to boring luxury starts right here, right now with the inspired design and advanced technology of the 2013 Infiniti JX." With the new Infiniti JX, you can leave a child seat securely latched in the 2nd row and still easily get in and out of the 3rd row unlikie that of the Acura MDX or Audi Q7. The new JX offers a lot of flexibility and versatility. ****Please note - I mistakenly said that the Acura MDX does not have a opening Power Liftgate, but it does indeed have this feature. However the MDX DOES NOT have the convenience of the Garage-Mode as the JX. *Please click this link to see the revised Infiniti JX35 Walk-around Video; http://www.youtube.com/user/InfinitiJX35 Ken- **Learn more and schedule a test drive with us today at http://www.DouglasInfiniti.com *Thank you for watching.
