How to Restore Headlights PERMANENTLY
Headlight Restoration using Clear Coat, This video will show you how to clean and restore your headlights so they will never turn yellow or hazy again! You have seen videos on restoring headlights with bug spray, toothpaste, baking soda, and the kits you buy in the store, but all of these methods are temporary and eventually the haze and oxidation will come back. My method will first make the headlight clear by wet sanding and then put a UV coat on it to seal it in. Here is the Clear Coat I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KZ6LYMM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789& creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00KZ6LYMM&linkCode=as2&tag=chri0e2-20&linkId= Z3U77RN3DHFZ2PXB Using Bug Spray to Clean Headlights (WARNING!!!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYmbBZntuY8 How to use Toothpaste to Clean Headlights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXHTXdlWw1w How to Remove Moisture from Headlights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNWTidkxcmQ ***If the video was helpful, please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. Using Bug Spray to Clean Headlights (WARNING!!!)
Bug spray headlight restoration, This is a video to show you how bug spray with DEET, can clean and restore headlights by removing oxidation, haze, and yellowing plastic. Hopefully this clears things up and shows you the truth behind using bug spray to restore headlights! The problem with the bug spray is that it doesnt last and it will damage your headlights and can damage your paint and trim. I go into why the OFF Deep Woods bug spray works, how it can damage your paint, and if you do want to try it, how to apply it to reduce the chances of any damage. I do not recommend using this method to clear up your headlights, instead I recommend using toothpaste which will not damage your headlights or the surrounding trim/paint. Here is the BEST method to use to make your headlights permanently clear! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEJbKLZ7RmM Here is how to use Toothpaste to get the same results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXHTXdlWw1w How to get your headlights SUPER CLEAR (Using Sandpaper) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrlIhRea8u8 ***If the video was helpful, please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. Projector Fogs with LED Halos and random LED fun Part 2
Here is the link I described in the video: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/tech-tips-review/79456-fog-light-mod-how-w -pics-moved.html The project was quite frustrating. It is not a very hard project but one slight error and you end up spending a long time fixing your mistakes. For example, when installing the halos the second time, I accidentally ripped the wire off the halo after I had the car put back together. This meant that I had to take it all apart again and fix the halo. The project should have been fast but errors like those ended up costing me a lot of time. What I show in the video are projector fog lights with LED halo rings and HID bulbs. I also installed VIP 300C's ground lights (http://vip300c.com/Products/Ground_LED/index.htm). I wired the halos and the ground lights to switches in the car. I also displayed the red LED angry eye headlights. Total cost for this project was actually very low. The projector fog lights were $115 from http://www.slickcar.com (with a $5 off coupon). The halos were about $16 on eBay shipped to my door. The HIDs I had but I think you can find them on eBay for about $50 to $100 (I believe I'm using the 6000k color with is as close to stock HIDs as I could find. The underbody ground LED lights were $90 shipped to my door. I probably have about $25 in wires and connections. The red headlight LED strips were $10 per side and I had a total of 2 in each headlight and then another set in the fog lights that I have yet to install. The addition 12v outlet was $5 from Advanced Auto Parts. So all in all, the project as not exactly "cheap" but considering my LED day time running lights ran me over $800, this project was cheap and really makes the car stand out.
