I decided to stick my head in for a look at Jamboree 2011 while on holidays in Queensland recently. Cool cars and hot women make this event a mandatory addition to everyone's event list. There's a couple little editing glitches in the video, but it took so long to render and upload, I decided to let them be.

Performance Car Mania 2013
Scotty's Garage 2000th Video!!! All the crazy action from Performance Car Mania 2013. With three days of cruising, burnouts, powerskids, Dyno and more, it's a great event and this year there were almost500 entrants so it was busy as hell.





TOYTON - Unblown to Blown in Five Minutes
Okay, we sped the footage up a little but in all honesty Rob Godfrey went from an unblown big block to an 8/71 combo in less than 20 minutes. For those that don't know the car it is one of Australia's top Street Machines, winning both Street Machine of the year and Summernats Grand Champion. with the only naturally aspirated 632ci combo it made 1050rwhp and run eights on the quarter. The new blown 502ci combo is more cruisable, but makes less power. Looks bloody awesome though. The girls appeared as soon as Rob fired the car up. Very cool.





BLWNLUX - World's Toughest Hilux
Forget the Top Gear Hilux. This has to be the toughest Toyota Hilux in the world. Brett Battersby has jacked up this '87 Hilux and filled the engine bay with 540 cubes of blown and injected big block Chev. Check out those flames!





13s for $1300 - Project Bluebird - Episode Six
I was a quarter way through installing the Nitrous when I realised we needed to change the intake so i made up what i call, "The Great Big Box of Love". It should help get some cold air into the engine as well as providing a better platform for the fogger nozzle. It's not the best looking intake ever made but it'll do the job nicely. Performance Car Mania 2011
Performance Car Mania is quickly becoming the premiere modified car event in Victoria, and it's not hard to see why. The organisers set everything up to maximise the fun for the entrants. And if the entrants are happy then the spectators are as well, because they get to see some of the coolest cars around cutting loose. The new quarter mile strip was an interesting addition and although it was a tad bumpy in places it made for some interesting racing. We've squeezed as much action as we could into a reasonable time frame, but keep your eyes open for planty more vids from this event in the near future.





Scotty's Garage 2010 - Close Calls & Conflagrations
It's been a big year for fires and crashes (near misses anyway), and we thought it was time to look back at all the craziness of 2010. With Summernats just around the corner we'll be hitting even more events in 2011.





1000HP Ratrod Pick-up Fries the Tyres And Transmission
It's been a while since we've seen Denis Maloney's RatRod Dodge puick-up at a competition and that's because it was getting this new beast of an engine. Denis has just fitted this 1000hp+ 410ci Chrysler small block, complete with methanol injection. It's a crazy beast and more than a little scary. Halfway through the burnout you could tell the auto wasn't really happy and the back wheels weren't spinning they way they should have been, then the flames started and while I haven't confirmed this, I wouldn't be surprised if it was trans fluid causing the fire. Hopefully he'll get it all sorted soon.

Don't Open The Hood - Just Don't do it!
If you need an explanation of why they like to have bonnets (hoods) on cars during burnouts then watch this video fight to the end. It's also the reason why I like to films cars until they leave the burnout pad these days. I can't count the amount of times I've turned the camer off and then the radiator or hose has let go.





Rod Hadfield's BeauTy
For those who don't know Rod, he's on of the most prolific Australian hod rodder's of our time. He's built and owned more amazing cars than most of us could dream of. Check out his highly modified '26 T-coupe. It's running an Ardun headed flathead V8 and a host of cool gear found around the swap meets.





KRANKY Burns Down Kandos - Burnout Fire!!
We've seen plenty of burnouts end with a fire but we've never seen one start with a fire. Rodney Waters HQ sedan goes up in flames right from the start at Kandos. It's crazy insane.





Engine Explosion - Let The Pistons Hit The Floor
Think of the song by Drowning Pool and you'll see where we're headed. Mike Roycroft unleashes destruction on his Valiant sedan unlike anything we've ever seen before. How big a hole does it have to be to fit a complete piston out of it? That's pretty wild.





Summernats 25 - Day One
Okay, so it's not actually day one because Summernats hasn't officially started, but the cars are rolling through the gates in prepartion for tomorrow when things really kick off. Some cool cars were coming through scrutineering this afternoon, and unfortunately I couldn't film them all. But I did manage to catch up with Rob Godfrey and his Summernats & SMOTY winning TOYTON. It's back with a new donk and a few surprises. Sorry about the dark video at the start, I though the new camera would be better than that in low light. Oh well, another lesson learned. Project Digger Burnout Testing
Back when the Army's Project Digger was first getting built I was invited along to film some burnout testing. As you can see the car wasn't finished but with time getting short before Summernats 23 they wanted to make sure it was right to go. Unfortunately, as a direct result of the testing they decided to not do any burnout at Summernats that year due to cooling issues. But it sure looked good. So for those that haven't seen it in action, here you go.
