Stock XR6 Turbo vs. 200SX

This is my XR6 turbo at the drag races. Ran a 14.57sec 1/4 mile. Not too bad for a stock car. The best time I achieved was 13.9sec on a different cooler night. I was going to spend a bit of money and put a CAPA kit on it but I ended up selling the car and bought a Lexus SC400. Gotta say the Ford was more fun. Kinda regret that decion. ah well...

Flat shifting xr6 turbo
flat shifting in an xr6 turbo using the launch control and spark cut revlimiter. For those that dont know what going on here, i imported a 2 stage spark cut rev limiter from the USA and fitted to the "coil on plug" ignition in the xr6t. The limit can be set at whatever rpm you like, i use the forst stage for launch control and the second stage to limit rpm between shifts. The advantage in using this system, is that the throttle body stays open, and the injectors keep flowing fuel whilst the limiter is dropping the spark. The result, is that the unburnt fuel keeps the turbo spooled, and the open throttle body prevents the accumulated Boost from dumping out the BOV. Both of the above are prevented by the factory limiter as it closes throttle and turns off injectors when the limit is hit.
