How to adjust ride height & corner balance your car - KW Suspension DDC - Technik
Setting your ride height is just the start when you switch to coilovers. The real beauty of using KW DDC coilovers for us was in being able to lower the car and maintain the OEM corner balance. KW and other coilovers also let you improve the corner balance or weight distribution of your car if your car doesn't already have a good set up from the factory. Technik and GTChannel show you how to set up the KW Suspension DDC using our project BMW E92 M3. We changed our wheels and tires to a square set up and in doing so raised the front ride height. This changed the handling characteristics. By putting on the DDC coilovers we were able to adjust the ride height and more importantly regain the stock corner weights despite the taller front tires. Robert Choo lends us his expertise and garage to do the adjustments. Visit our friends at KW Suspension. http://www.kw-suspension.com/us/ Technik Playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEGDOTG_1p0e2JPuRq1eQ7C4YUGz9VhFL

V8 Interceptor Rear Suspension [S4 Ep.13-1]
Today on GEARZ, Stacey rolls the V8 Interceptor/ Cougar back into the shop and begins upgrading the rear end and rear suspension to handle all the massive power that has been stuffed under the hood. The parts are flyin' as in goes a custom 3-link torque arm suspension, a 9" Ford rear end, and a tubular sub-frame to prevent the car from flexing. If you have a classic Mustang or Cougar, you're gonna want to see this! Then Stacey shows you where to get parts for your Mustang or Cougar project by paying a visit to a special salvage yard that specializes only in... you guessed it... Classic Cougars! If you've ever wondered where to get those special parts... now you know. After that we take a trip to Michigan Tech to check out their amazing testing facilities and put some actual products to the test. It's all here... and it's all GEARZ!

Plastic Chrome Restoration for Classic Cougars
Using Cougar dash bezels as an example, Don discusses different methods of "re-plating" the simulated chrome on plastic parts. With costly and fragile vacuum plating and electroplating being the only viable options in the past, we are proud to introduce a revolutionary new paint process that is much more durable, costs less than older methods, and looks fantastic. We are offering restoration services for these dash pieces, as discussed in this video, and soon hope to offer the same service for other plastic "chrome" parts, such as door panel trim and more. Mustang Front Suspension Installation Forgotten Fastback 1965
http://www.cjponyparts.com/1964-1973-Mustang-suspension/c/10170000/ In this installation video, Bill demonstrates how to upgrade a front suspension in CJ's 1965 Forgotten Fastback project car. Before the upgrade, the Forgotten Fastback's suspension was beyond poor, with two 4x4s for springs and several loose parts. In order to make the Fastback a Mustang with modern updates, we've decided to install a stock-style suspension with a few performance upgrades, which will provide a better handling experience. For springs, upper and lower control arms, and a strut rod kit, we've chosen top-quality products from Scott Drake. Mustang Scott Drake Coil Springs 1965-1966: http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-coil-spring-progressive-rate-pair-19 65-1966/p/CSPR1/ These springs allow your Classic Mustang to take advantage of the latest suspension technology and perform more like a modern sports car. They provide a fairly stock smooth ride during normal driving, but as the springs compress under load (primarily during braking and cornering) they progressively become firmer to offer the handling characteristics similar to our 600 pound performance springs. Mustang Scott Drake Lower Control Arm Assembly 1965-1966: http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-lower-control-arm-assembly-premium-b lack-gray-1965-1966/p/LCA71/ These lower control arms are the finest available and feature the original riveted design for a more authentic look. They are painted black and natural steel gray and come with a ball joint, grease seal, a washer and nut and a cotter key. Mustang Scott Drake Upper Control Arm Assembly 1965-1966: http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-upper-control-arm-assembly-premium-b lack-gray-1965-1966/p/UCA3/ These upper control arms are the finest reproductions available and are not rebuilt, but rather all new. They're painted black and natural steel gray, come ready to install, and include the bushings, ball joint, but with cotter key and washers with locking nuts.
