Is It Numbers Matching? - Cougar by the Numbers
In this video we delve into the complex topic of decoding tags, date codes, and other numbers to check if your classic Ford / Mercury is "numbers matching," using Don's newly acquired '69 Mercury Cougar XR7 428 Cobra Jet convertible as an example. While we haven't covered the subject 100% in this video (to keep it concise) we think this covers most of the major components and gives you the knowledge you need to figure out what your numbers mean. As mentioned in the video, we highly recommend Marti Auto Works, especially his Tagbook, which made this video possible. 96 Mercury Cougar 4.6V8 Acceleration and New Camera Audio Test
As requested by Fatguywithakatana, a quick blast down the road in our 96 Mercury Cougar XR7. The car is equipped with the 4.6 SOHC V8, four-speed automatic, and a limited slip rear end. This was a test to find out if my new camera could handle the volume of driving down the road. It seems to have faired much better than my old camera. Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate it.
