1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD ROADSTER "SOLD" Drager's Classics 206-533-9600
This is the T-Bird you have always wanted to find. It's a locally owned, frame off, show quality restoration. Frank's Restoration was the restorer. This was done a number of years ago, 1975, and you can tell it has been kept in show condition. This car comes with several trophies. You will have to see all the photos, over 180, and the video. You can see it running and driving. Yes the underside was dusty but Andrew has cleaned it. What a car. 312 V-8 engine. Automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. The more I look at this stunning Bird the more impressed I am. Yes it has some very minor paint chips. You can tell it's not been driven in the rain since it's restoration. This has to be by far the best ThunderBird I have ever owned. I think the only thing I would do is install wide white radials in place of the bias ply tires. It's the correct QE code Thunderbird bronze and XK white interior. As you can imagine we did not find anything much to do when it was serviced and safety checked. It's beautiful. 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Dual Quad
http://motoexotica.com/inventory/5964/1956_Ford_Thunderbird_.htm 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible P6FH285595 • Rare Dual Quad P code T-Bird, predecessor to the 1957 "E" Bird • B6A-900-B High Power Engine Kit 8V (dual four) 235HP • Utah Convertible! • Factory Hardtop & Power Options! • Lovely, Correct Restoration • "P Code" 312ci V8 Engine & Automatic Transmission • White Walls The Thunderbird, or "T-Bird," is an automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in the United States over eleven model generations from 1955 through 2005. When introduced, it created the market niche eventually known as the personal luxury car. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present yet another iconic 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This fine Bird is a rare "P" code dual quad carb vehicle that was the predecessor to the "E" Bird, which was available only in 1957. We have never seen another T-Bird with this option. The T-Bird comes to us from the dry state of Utah, complete with a factory hardtop and many power options, is a beautiful, correct restoration that has been regularly maintained and is ready to hit the open road! It is very presentable and perfect for a cruiser that you can drive and park anywhere! Finished in the original color of Colonial White, the paint appears to have been professionally repainted in the recent past and is in great condition, only showing minor imperfections such as small rock chips. The body is in beautiful, straight shape all the way down to the fender skirts! The factory hard top is also in great condition. The chrome is in great shape as well, only showing minor imperfections. This 50s icon is sure to turn heads no matter where you take it! Inside, the interior is finished in the original color combination of red and white vinyl. It should be noted that the interior has been newly upholstered and looks great! The seats are in great condition, showing no signs of wear or tear. The red carpet looks great, as do the door panels. The dashboard appears original and houses original gauges along with an oil pressure and water temperature gauge beneath the dash. This car is equipped with power windows. There also is a Town & Country radio in the dashboard which looks great. It should be noted that the horn is inoperable. Under the hood, you'll find "P Code" 312 cubic inch V8 powerhouse with the optional and rarely seen High Power Engine Kit B6A-900-B which includes dual Holly 4V carburetors for a total of 235HP. The vehicle also includes a rarely seen Ford Thunderbird Special High Performance Radiator. This T-Bird has power steering and front disc power brakes. The car sits upon a set of 15" red steel wheels with chrome Ford hubcaps, which look excellent! The wheels are wrapped in beautiful 6.70-15 white wall tires that really set off the nostalgic look of the car. This Thunderbird is a true classic and icon of the 50s era! It would be an excellent addition to any classic car collection or would make a fabulous Sunday driver. The VIN is P5FH285595 and the mileage currently shows 66,901. It is being sold on a clean and clear, mileage exempt Utah title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

132893 / 1955 Ford Thunderbird
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/6sz275s This 1955 Thunderbird Pro Tourer features a customized all steel body, a modular Mustang Mach 1 powertrain, a Mustang II suspension with a ton of bolt on upgrades and a comfortable, modern interior. Custom built by Street Visions in Waxhaw NC, this all steel '55 T-bird took one year to build and underwent 1300 hours of restoration and customization. It's completely straight steel body was covered with a thick coat of Dupont Chroma Merlot Burgundy Metallic basecoat/clearcoat that has an excellent finish and displays a brilliant shine. At the front of the car, a custom fascia houses new halogen headlights in traditional T-bird hoods above blue tinted fog lights that are a direct fit where the cars turn signals used to be. Between those lights, a chrome mesh grille replaces the traditional Thunderbird stainless grille, and behind the lights, the car's front fenders incorporate custom fender vents with matching mesh inserts. Ghost flames start at those fender vents and run down the side of the car past custom rear view mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. At the front of the doors, a traditional curved Thunderbird windshield is cleared by custom Newport Engineering stainless wipers and housed in pristine stainless trim. Connected to the top of that windshield is a tan Haartz cloth convertible top with a plastic rear window. At the back of the car, LED tail lights ride above a custom fabricated rear fascia that replaces the traditional '55 bumper. Under the hood of this T-bird is a high-revving modular DOHC 4.6L Ford Mustang Mach 1 motor that is fed by an intercooled Mustang Cobra Eaton Supercharger. To make everything communicate properly and perform without fail, a Detail Zone electronic fuel injection wiring harness and an SCT chip tuned by Pro Dyno were installed and the result was a very stout 451 horsepower and 417 lb./ft. of torque at the rear wheels. In front of the motor, a custom aluminum radiator by Arrow is equipped with a Sparco fan to take care of cooling. At the sides of the motor, coated Sanderson block hugger headers send Exhaust into a true dual Exhaust system with Magnaflow performance mufflers. The engine bay is completely finished with a satin black firewall and body colored hood and inner fenders. Take a look underneath and you'll find a Mustang II suspension with a Fat Man front sub frame and a custom boxed and modded X-member. Bolted under the front of the car is a heavy duty 1.5 inch sway bar, 11.5 inch Brake Tech disc brakes with braided lines, power steering from the Mach 1 donor car and a Flaming River stainless steering shaft and joints. Bolted under the back of the car you'll find Mustang II leaf springs, a heavy duty 1 inch sway bar, custom Cal Trac style rear control bars and Mustang Cobra 11 inch rear disc brakes. Sending power to the wheels is the Mach 1 donor cars Tremec 3650 5-speed manual transmission. Behind that transmission is a shortened and balanced Mustang Mach 1 driveshaft that is connected to an 8.8 inch rear axle with 3.27 gears. Stopping is aided by the Mach I donor cars HydraBoost brake system, and go-juice is supplied by a Tanks Inc. 16 gallon stainless fuel tank with an internally mounted high volume fuel pump. At the corners, 17 inch TSW eight spoke aluminum wheels wear 245/40 BF Goodrich G-Force radials. Inside you'll find a completely custom-built interior. Behind the curved windshield a polished Grant steering wheel with a Mahogany rim sits on an Ididit column in front of classy looking Dakota Digital LED gauges. Below the dash a custom built and custom covered center console houses controls for the Vintage Air system, a Hurst short throw shifter and a Kenwood audio system. Custom seats are covered in Katzkin leather and sit on new Hushmat and new carpet next to custom door panels that feature painted toppers, leather covers, new Relic power windows and Rocky Hinge billet door handles. The car even comes with Viper keyless entry, a power antenna and remote start. This 1955 Thunderbird Pro Tourer features a great looking vintage shape and benefits from 50 additional years of technology.

1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Some cars are simply universal in their appeal. No matter if you're a Ford guy, a Mopar guy or a Chevy guy, there are some cars that transcend barriers. I'd argue that the 1955-57 Ford Thunderbird is such a car. Great looks and instantly recognizable, it all adds up to a beautiful car that everyone sees as something special. Some T-Birds are more special than others, however, and Ill argue that this '55 is one of the nicest we've seen lately. The recipient of a 3 year, body-off restoration that cost somewhere near $85,000, this car is in outstanding condition from top to bottom. The mirror finish black paint is absolutely beautiful, applied over those classic T-Bird curves. Whenever I think of an early 'Bird, I always picture this color combination. All of the chrome and trim is perfect, the bumpers have been re-chromed. The body is straight, solid and rust free. The panel gaps are awesome and the door, hood and trunk lips are clean. This car looks even better in person than it does in photos. The doors open and close with precision, the forward-tilting hood fits extremely well, and the trunk lid, including the pass-through for the fuel filler, fits well. The paint has obviously been cut and buffed, because the gloss is fantastic. Under the hood you'll find a nicely detailed 292cubic inch motor and the 3-speed manual transmission. Up front there's a 3-blade fan which looks awesome. The Thunderbird valve covers are a beautiful addition. The Exhaust manifolds have been coated to keep them looking "like-new" forever. A new heater box and duct work, new wiring and a new master cylinder were updated during the restoration. This 'Bird also received a fresh alignment. You will find a battery shut off switch under the dash as well. Underneath, you'll find that the entire frame has been treated to a black paint job before the body was reinstalled. The floors are as glossy as the body panels and it creates an awesome background for the details that are found throughout. The springs and shocks have been rebuilt, and the stainless steel Exhaust system is beautiful. The rear end housing has a paint job that is worthy of the hood! The gas tank has been refinished, and the brake lines as well as the parking brake cable are new. The steering gear is painted, the bushings are new and there are new motor mounts front and back. The back sides of the fenders are beautiful as well, showing no filler, no bumps and no bruises. The interior is a real treat. As I said, whenever I think of a '55-57 T-Bird, I always envision a black one with a black and white interior. The power seat has been as beautifully restored as the exterior, and are all-day driving comfortable. The instruments have been fully restored and look gorgeous in that jet-age instrument panel that is framed by engine-turned metal appliqués that run from end to end. The dash pad and carpets are also new. There is an aftermarket stereo installed in the dash. The original Town & Country AM radio is in working condition, and will go with the car to the new owner. Overhead, the black top fits extremely well. This T'Bird comes with a tunneau cover and an unfinished hardtop (all components required to finish it are available). The trunk features a new mat and a matching wide whitewall tire. Many T-Bird enthusiasts think that 1955 is the best-looking of all the early 'Birds, with no external spare tire like in 1956, and no extended trunk and mini tailfins like the '57. Instead, the purity of the original design that wowed crowds at car shows remained pretty much intact. Restored to spectacular condition inside and out, this particular '55 T-Bird is on that you can drive and enjoy, or trailer to a show and bring home trophies; it all depends on your mood. This is a car where you're getting an awful lot of restoration for not a lot of money, all surrounding a gorgeous, highly-collectable car that will always have an eager crowd of admirers around it. Like I said earlier, there's almost nobody who doesn't think an early Thunderbird is a great car. If you've longed to put one in your collection, I submit this as an excellent candidate. 1971 Ford Thunderbird
The 1971 Thunderbirds were the best built Thunderbirds to date. Printed circuitry, introduced in 1968, continued to make the instruments reliable and accurate. Thunderbird's smooth ride was designed by computer. Their interiors were pressure tested at the factory to check for air leaks. Since this body style had been around for four years, they left the assembly plant pretty much perfect. Thunderbird advertising in 1971 asked the question, "Whatever happened to individuality?" As the curtain came down on one of the most interesting, and under-appreciated, body styles to ever bear the name Thunderbird, we wonder how long it will take for others to recognize how special these cars are. Will they someday climb to the ranks of the two seaters and Sports Roadsters? This white landau coupe with blue cloth interior represents the high water mark of the model. Outfitted with a Thunder Jet 429 V-8 Engine (360 horsepower) and the SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic Drive, this bird has all the comfort of your living room on wheels. Power steering, ventilated disc brakes, power windows, full instrumentation, cornering lamps, center arm rest and a complete compliment of interior lighting options provide just some of the standard features found on this one.
