Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo T16 Rally Sound
The Toyota Celica T16 All-Trac turbo GTi, also called Toyota Celica turbo 4WD or GT-Four is a high performance model of the Celica Liftback, with a turbocharged 3S-GTE engine with unique Exhaust sound, and full-time AWD (all-wheel drive). The Japanese model is the Corona Coupe (年 トヨタ コロナ クーペ). With minor changes it was sold in some markets as the Toyota 2000 VX. It was created to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC). The ST185's WRC debut was in 1992 Rally Monte Carlo. The Toyota Celica was driving in the 1992 Safari Rally very quickly. This was the first WRC win for the car and it won four events this year. The ST185 is Toyota's most successful rally car. It won the WRC Driver's Championship in 1992, and the WRC Manufacturer's and Driver's Championships in 1993 and 1994. The significance of the Toyota Celica GT-4 in WRC history, previously dominated by European manufacturers, is that it was the first time a Japanese car manufacturer entered the WRC with an AWD turbocharged car, took trophies and won the titles. Since then other Japanese manufacturers have been successful in the WRC. Toyota preceded the Mitsubishi - Lancer Evolution and Galant VR-4 models and the Subaru Legacy and Impreza WRX STI. 868 & 863whp Dyno pull, Celica Alltrac ST-185, Full Exhaust
These 2 back to back runs were at 43psi falling to 39psi. Right at peak torque, (7000rpm) the tires spun on the Dyno on both runs. Apparently the front was doing a wheelie, so we put a a different strap across the front straps. Needless to say the 47psi run was just ridicules
