A montage of my 1999 season at Lydden racing a 2.6 litre dry-sumped works DTV Lotus Chevette. Approx 260bhp, 820kgs. There are three classes in each race, hence the slower, lower-spec cars out there with us. I finished second in the championship.
One way to remove and replace a U-joint
Cheap, backyard replacement of a u joint out of a 1985 Ford Ranger with a
Chevy 305, 700R4 and a Chevrolet driveshaft. Not sure what vehicle the
drivetrain came out of and I had to get the guys at the parts store to
visually match up the u joint in order to find the right replacement. My
thanks to the Youtubers that had videos on this subject. Though, I couldn't
find any showing the removal of a u joint with clips on the inside part of
the saddles. So I figured I'd put my own 'How to' video out there. Hope it
helps someone and can't wait to hear the criticisms from the car snobs out
there with bearing presses.

Lydden Final - Multiple crashes
Sunday's Lydden Final was pretty much a disaster. I get tangled up in a
fairly large startline shunt. With a bit of help from Richard Kingsnorth
(who went out avoiding the shunt, my dad and Dave Wright), I manage to
make the restart - minus all of my front end panels. The 2nd restart is
equally as bad, I get helped into a half spin at the first corner, from in
front and behind - and then hit in the rear...... The old crate holds
together and we make the chequered flag. One interesting 'moment' on the
track ahead of me - quite a 'have that' moment....

1977 Chevrolet Chevette - Dealership Film
Second model year of Chevrolet's "new kind of American car" for 1977.
Transferred from super 8mm film taken from a sealed Technicolor-branded
cartridge designed to be played in a GM dealership. Sorry about the sound -
it is obsolete optical sound where dust causes pops and crackles.
1978 Chevrolet Chevette - Dealership Film
1978 was the third model year for this small car and a promotional film was
shown in some Chevrolet dealerships to prospective buyers. This was the
last model year for a Monojet carburetor, 2-piece grille, and round
headlights. "Chevette: It's got a lot going for you!"
Change a U-Joint with a Hammer
In this video I will show you how to change a U-Joint with a hammer... As
opposed to with a press. This way you can change your universal joint out
on the trail after it breaks! Some say it's easier to fix it with a hammer
anyway, what do you think?
