Rat Rod Custom 1950 Mercury Rescue! - Roadkill Episode 21
It's always a good idea to buy a car off the Internet sight-unseen, right? That's what a friend-of-a-friend of Roadkill did with the kustom Merc—and maybe he made an even worse decision when he allowed Freiburger and Finnegan to wrench on the thing and deliver it to him. This deal was set up by a Roadkill fan, Jim Norman of Norman Vinyards in Paso Robles, California. The road trip involves the '69 El Camino from Episode 4, The Dog from Episodes 4 and 17, lots of burnouts with the guys from Hot Rod Ranch - - and plenty of fun with Alex Gambino of Gambino Kustoms - Roadkill appears on the Motor Trend channel. Ratrod-O-Rama 2015
Nope, this isn't your old man's car show with hundred-thousand-dollar restorations and flashy paint jobs. This is a REAL car show, Southern Oregon style. The 8th Annual Ratrod-O-Rama car show was held on August 22 at historic Pottsville in Southern Oregon. The rides were 1964 and earlier traditional style rods, customs, lead sleds, rat rods, and traditional chopper and bobber motorcycles. Throw in a dual jet-powered drag bike by Rocket Man Bob Maddox, Matt Rossback's Dodge Brothers War Rig, and the Rat Rod Mike-mobile and you've got a show. But that's not all there was at this family event. Mimi D'Lite produced the 1950s-1960s style pin-up contest with 20 pretty contestants, music was provided by Sarah Dion Brooks, Ruby Rose, the John Dough Boys, and the surf-king Sleazetones, and metal guru Randy Grubb gave kids free lessons at the Weld-O-Rama. The Josephine County Fire Department showed off their truck and cow train gave kids a ride all over the beautiful grounds. There were great people and it was for a good cause: Ratrod-O-Rama is a benefit for the Rogue Valley Humane Society and their volunteers were out walking the dogs an finding good homes for them.
