My Subaru Impreza Project Part 1
I purchased this car In January 2011 for $1300 as a repairable rite-off. It
is my first car and is a 1998 Subaru Impreza RX. My first priority was to
fix it up nice and neat but before i knew it i was getting carried away
with the facelift and then the full colour change.
It is at the moment almost an STI replica with very minor details missing.
It is an unfinished project and still has far to come as i am turning it
into a street legal track car. I have (not yet done) STI brembos ready to
convert on, Tein coilovers and an STI engine and 6 speed box of which will
be rebuilt with an aim of 700hp. Unfortunately being only on my P's this
part of the project must wait but good things come with time.
So anyways, here is the first part of the project, please tell me what you

don't waste your energy on bashing the (stupid) wing and yellow wheels: the

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI BUILD
ATD Racing & Developments Subaru LX Ground up Build to WRX. I built this
car in 7 months, I painted it, Built the engine which is now an EJ207 STI
short block and it also runs a 6 speed STI gear box now it did have a Full
PPG 5 speed dog box but we changed it as it was just to race spec for the
road. It runs a vf22 and makes 197kw at 18PSI.

DirtyImpreza.com - Project Rally RS Episode 3 - Rollcage
In this episode of the DirtyImpreza.com Project Rally RS (PRRS) build we
cover the events from much of 2008. The 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS was
stripped down, seam welded, caged, painted, and re-assembled with a donor
motor and transmission from another 2001 2.5RS.
The roll cage was constructed by Jackson Rally and is Rally America and
NASA compliant (built to FIA Article 253 specs). It has been overbuilt in
some areas for extra safety and rigidity. The shell has been seam welded
around the struts, transmission tunnel, cabin floor, and wheel wells. The
roof skin was replaced with a JDM roof to completely delete the USDM
Its been a long year, but finally we have a running rally car! There are
still numerous smaller projects that need to be tackled before this car is
stage rally ready, but some of the biggest milestones have already been
reached. Thanks goes out to Kyle at Jackson Rally for his amazing
fabrication work, Scott at California Auto Collision for painting the
inside of the car, and the dedicated DirtyImpreza.com members who
tirelessly helped to get this car where it is today.
Note: For those of you who may have been following the build this episode
might be a bit confusing, and you may ask Where did this other RS come
from? Basically, the original 2.5RS was scrapped because it had extensive
rust, and a severely damaged frame (which was revealed during its initial
tear down). The decision was made to buy another identical 2001 2.5RS with
a blown motor but no frame damage or rust, and transplant the vitals from
the other car into this one.

Speilberg or any type of director. I'm an artist with a cheap camera with
a hobby for cars, and have a lot of friends with similar interest. So this
short was directed from an artistic standpoint. JUST FOR FUN! So don't
take this short too seriously and have fun watching it. No "set", no
"green screen", no "paid actors"! Just good friends, a Canon T2i camera,
some decent cars, and a patient wife.
Info: This short was shot with the intention of fully testing the T2i's
capabilities in all types of lighting conditions. It became a bigger
project than intended (since I was doing everything primarily myself) but
was alot of fun to do. Big thanks to all my friends who acted each scene

THE RAREST 22B OF THEM ALL
The chassis number of this incredible 22B is 000/000, so essentially, STi
created 401 of these cars with the example in the video used as a
demonstration car back in 1999 and this is the most exclusive chassis of
them all. It is a rare treat for Subaru STi to allow anyone to have access
to the car but I was able to get in and around it for this exclusive
It has travelled 20,000 kilometers since new and is in absolutely
immaculate condition. Unfortunately it will likely never turn a wheel in
anger again. How does that make you feel?

use it as a public track and event showpiece?
