W140 Mercedes Benz S500 S600 Coupe 2 Owner CLEAN CL S 500 S 600 420 320 CL500
1 Owner car guy AKA Nathan Wratislaw here and this W140 is one of My
favorites it is a 1995 Mercedes Benz S500 Coupe or CL500. Its a Great car
and has only had 2 owners with only 80,000 original miles You will
absolutly LOVE this car if a S500C is what you are looking for. I sell A
LOT of 600 500 420 and 320 cars and the W140 is pretty much the top of the
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Development on the W140 began in 1981, originally set for an autumn 1989
release. From 1982 to 1986 several designs were reviewed, until December
1986 when the final design was approved. Several prototypes were tested
onwards from early 1987. A delay was made to accommodate a V12 engine and
resulted in the final prototype being completed in June 1990. Pilot
production models were made from July 1990 to January 1991. In 1991, to
compete with the Lexus LS 400, a series of additional features were rushed
for the launch of the W140. The W140 introduced innovations such as
double-pane window glazing, power-assisted closing for doors and boot lid,
electric windows which lowered back down upon encountering an obstruction,
rear-parking markers which rose from the rear wings (discontinued on later
vehicles, and replaced with sonar-assisted parking) and a heating system
which, if desired, continued to emit warm air after the engine was turned
off. For details like this, the W140 is often known as the last Mercedes to
be "overengineered," a Mercedes trait that was costing the company in
product delays and overbudgeting. According to Motor Trend, this action
reportedly caused project cost overruns and resulted in the departure of
Wolfgang Peter, Daimler-Benz's chief engineer. The vehicle is believed
to have cost Mercedes-Benz over $1 billion to develop. For the consumer,
the W140 cost a considerable 25 percent more than its predecessor, the
The W140 was to feature air-suspension as an option, but it was dropped
shortly before launch because Mercedes was still perfecting the technology
at the time. Mercedes chose to launch air-suspension in the next generation
S-Class in 2000. The W140 instead used a hydropneumatic rear suspension,
first introduced on the W126 to be used on the S500 and S600 models.
Following the mid-year facelift in 1994, Mercedes-Benz made Electronic
Stability Control an optional fixture to both sedan and coupé body styles
in the W140 range. Both the sedan and coupé body styles were equipped with
Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) as a standard feature.
Like its predecessor, the car was available in two wheelbase lengths (short
W140 and long V140) along with the C140 coupé. In 1992, a new 6 litre 402
engine joined the lineup for the first time with the 600SEL and 600SEC. A
"V12" badge was affixed to the C-pillar.
In 1993, the 402 horsepower V12 engine was
slightly detuned to 389 horsepower to comply with
tighter emission control regulations in the United States and Europe. The
V8 models were tuned down from 322 horsepower to 315 horsepower.
The W140 600SEL was available with wooden rear ash tray covers,
wood/leather shift knob, leather dashboard and a suede headliner, unlike
the V8 and inline 6-cylinder models. Following the facelift in 1994, the
rebadged S600 was updated with a wood/leather steering wheel, a V12 badge
on the wood/leather shifter, double needle stitching all over the interior
and two tone nappa leather seating -- further distinctions from its lower
Following the new Mercedes-Benz tradition of mid-life facelifts (starting
with the W126 in 1986), the W140 received a minor facelift in 1994. The
clear turn signal indicator lenses on the front were the most obvious
change, as was the grille including a new and distinctive one for S600's.
Headlamps were fitted with separate low H7, H1 fog, and high H1 beam
reflectors in 1995, pre 1995 used an H4 bulb and H3 for the fog lamp. In
April 1995, "Parktronic" replaced the parking guiders on the rear boot lid.
In June 1996, the two tone exterior bumpers were painted to match the upper
portions of the vehicles and the rear indicator lenses became clear.

Cadillac Cimarron Sedan 2.8L V6 1 Owner 70,000 Original Miles Test Drive Video Review Cavalier
Cadillac Cimarron Sedan 2.8L V6 1 Owner 70,000 Original Miles Test Drive
Video Review Loaded Cavalier http://www.1ownercarguy.com This is a very
nice 1 Owner Cadillac Cimarron that only has 70K original miles on it. This
car is very clean inside and out. It does have it's cosmetic issues but has
been taken care of over the years. I like the factory vogue top on this one
also. This isn't the car you think of when you think of Cadillac but it is
fully loaded and a luxury car. It has the big 2.8L V6 and has quite a bit
of power but just floats down the road and gets really good gas mileage.
The interior is very clean and shows very little wear. You will be hard
pressed to find a cleaner one.

The Cadillac Cimarron was a compact luxury car built by Cadillac based on
the GM J platform. It was first introduced in 1981 for the 1982 model year,
and sold through 1988. During its seven-year model run, 132,499 Cimarrons
Cadillac's first foray into smaller cars, the 1975 Seville, was intended to
answer the sales threat from Mercedes-Benz luxury cars. The Seville was a
relative success, but the political and economic climate of the 1980s
suggested a need for something smaller. A crucial factor was the advent of
CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) requirements from the U.S. federal
government, which severely penalized automakers if their fleet average fuel
economy dropped below the minimum. Another was the success of imported
compacts such as the BMW 3 Series, Saab 900, Volvo 240 and Audi 4000.

Mixing one of the biggest and smoothest V8s GM ever produced with
mirror-like paint and a spacious, comfortable interior, this classy DeVille
puts a new twist on 'Standard of The World'. And if you've always dreamed
of owning a big American cruiser that's high on style and loaded with
comfort, it's just the opportunity you've been waiting for!
Not completely devoid of character, like so many traditional, frame-off
restorations, this road-ready drop-top is an exhilarating combination of
factory-correct blitz and tasteful glam. Appearing both solemn and
official, its Jet Black paint reflects an excellent shine that literally
glows when crouching under the sun. And that modern two-stage covers what
appears to be clean, mostly original sheetmetal which displays no sign of
botched repairs or historic damage.
Cadillac, once the world's leading proprietor of fine, 16-cylinder motor
coaches, knows a thing or two about performance. For example, this
convertible's correct, 472 cubic inch monster block, which is one of the
largest V8s ever produced, turns stout 10 to 1 compression into a smooth
And while GM Powertrain did provide engines that generated more power, this
mill was designed to idle silently, create instantaneous thrust and emit
merely a whisper from its tailpipe. Judging by the appearance of the car's
satin black bay, it's been on a regular maintenance schedule, benefitting
from periodic, full-scale detailing. Many of the motor's original ancillary
items have been replaced by flashier hardware including: a chrome,
single-snorkel air cleaner, chrome valve covers, a polished radiator
overflow and an HEI distributor that's complete with 8mm Hi Temp wires. And
thanks to two Optima gel cell batteries, the car fires so smoothly you may
not even notice it's running.
Behind that big engine, an original turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed spins a traditional
GM 12-bolt that's complete with smooth 2.98 gears. Speaking of smooth, the
car's long and low suspension, which is augmented with Air Ride
Technologies air bags, glides over almost any imperfection with virtually
no drama. And all that proven hardware rolls on slick Centerline Smoothies
which spin 245/40R20 Firestone Firehawks around detailed Cadillac crests.
If you're a fan of big time comfort, you'll be absolutely thrilled by this
DeVille's custom black interior! The '63 Cadillac front and chopped rear
seats are firm, supple and display virtually no signs of aging. In front of
those half power, half manual seats, a modernist, crack-free dash hangs a
contoured instrument panel between a billet mirror, a modern Pioneer CD
player, controls for the car's Air Ride Technologies suspension and
chrome-trimmed foot pedals. In front of the driver, a custom '59 Cadillac
steering wheel spins a chrome horn ring around a tilting column and simple
chrome gear selector. And behind the passengers, a Dynamat-lined trunk
seals a giant subwoofer behind a Pioneer CD changer, two JL Audio amps, a
small bass tube, a fifth Centerline/Firestone combo and a small, South
County Customs jack.
This DeVille is an extremely high-quality cruiser with no question marks
attached. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the coolest Caddys on
the planet! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com today.
