Supercharged 1966 Chevelle Pro-Street 462 Big-block Beast
I thought you'd like a look at this awesome Supercharged Pro-Street 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle. It's packing a 462 CID V8 engine that was built with a steel crank, hydraulic roller cam and lifters, roller rockers, ARP bolts in the mains, rods, heads, and rocker arm studs. Sitting on top of all of that is a BDS Racing 8-71 blower and two Quickfuel Technologies carburetors to squeeze every bit of power out of the engine, and with only 300 miles since it was rebuilt, it's not even broken in yet! Don't look for a flimsy fiberglass hood to cover all of this horsepower - it has a steel hood that has been modified to fit around the blower. All of this is hooked up to a TCI 700R4 transmission with a 3500 stall, and a 9" rear end with 4.11 gears. This car needs nothing! It is set up to hop in the driver's seat, turn the key, and head down the road. Other features of this car include a B & M shifter, "Chevrolet" valve covers that are painted Chevy Orange, Afco Racing radiator, chrome master cylinder, chrome alternator, tilt steering wheel, Weld wheels, and radial tires. Whether you want to take this Chevelle to the strip or the street, it is ready for anything you can throw at it! Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it! '72 Chevelle - UPDATE: Worst Sound System Install (fixed) - New Wiring,Carpet, Kick panels (vid 4)
See the current progress pictures here: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166966-ubl-72-chevelle-system- fix-worst-install-by-a-shop-ever-ripped-out-custom-kick-panels-wrappedscree ned-rockford-t3-midshighs-42113/#entry2437339 Install like a pro! Use SMD install tools - http://www.wcCarAudio.com ! Please watch video 1, 2, & 3 to see the mess i started with. The story: My friend Moke came by and asked me to run the SMD DD-1 on his system and get his gains set right. He said he just got it out the beat shop and it sounded like shit. I told him to bring it by. It did, indeed, sound worse then shit. I stopped everything i was doing and decided to fix this for him. This is a terrible install and i am not sure which shop did it, but they should be ashamed. Moke reportadly spent $5,000 on this install. This video shows the new power, ground, speaker and RCA Cables being ran and new carpet finally being installed. Also, the kick panels are installed for good, i just need to hook up the amp rack and get them playing! Subscribe and watch how this project turns out! He is getting all brand new door and interior quarter panels as well as new white leather on the seats so this thing should be super clean by the time i am finished! Also, yes, it IS A 72. It has a 70 Front clip on it. Thanks! Please visit my site and join the forum if you would like to send me a polite comment, i will probably respond!
