JDM Legends is based in the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah, but the company's heart clearly belongs to Japan. The garage, run by shop manager Eric Bizek, is a slice of classic Japanese heaven in the middle of America. Skylines, Celicas, and 510s are parked in various states of restoration with the ultimate goal of finding new homes. Despite being happy to match classic iron to new owner, Bizek is also (and understandably) sad to see his projects leave. His love affair with these machines comes across clearly in this short film. Eric Bizek is an example of what pure enthusiast is all about. The passion fires ones up while working on a car and impeccable attention to detail in every car that he restores. Apparantly this model was only sold in Japan, not the UK. I bought as a 'non runner' in Japan, although it drove fine and had only done 47,000 kms, It was complete, nothing missing and all the interior and chrome work was good. There was the usual rust on the sills, arch, doors and tailgate edges. It now has the 3SGE Yamaha tuned engine from the Toyota Altezza with matching 6 speed gearbox.
