After a day of coaching, Jim Pierce switches the track config from 13CW to the fastest/longest version to let the cars stretch thier legs. These are the end of day high speed runs down the drag strip into star Mazda turn-Veloster did 125mph repeatedly braking down to 30 for the corner! We plan to develop a complete trackday setup for the Veloster including suspension, chassis bracing, and other performance parts. 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo Piercemotorsports track package racing at Willow Springs
A couple laps around Willow Springs before running low on fuel. At 1/3 tank the Veloster starts to starve for fuel in the corners and goes into a "limp" mode allowing just enough power to drive it safely to a stop---we coasted into the fuel pump. We've been so impressed with the added grip that our track setup has yielded---we've nearly taken off 10 seconds a lap from the stock Veloster turbo!!!! A ton of time/development and testing has paid off---we now have coilover suspension for both the track and street/nearly 10 different chassis braces/brake pads/rotors, rear torsions bars and with more parts in development we're really looking forward to the future of the platform!!!
