Chip Yates: World Record Junkie and Electric Motorcycle Pioneer! On Two Wheels Ep. 39
On this episode of On Two Wheels, we visit Chip Yates, an engineer turned
professional motorcycle racer, turned record-setting electric technology
pioneer! Chip decided at the age of 36 to quit his job at Boeing and
pursue a career as a professional AMA racer.
After turning pro, he had a big crash which ended his competitive career.
Looking to the future, Chip was not discouraged, but rather, motivated to
venture into new territory. He designed and built an all electric
superbike that produced 258hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. He went on to race
the bike and broke numerous World Records at Bonneville and Pikes Peak
International Hill Climb.
With 10 World Records under his belt, he wasn't done yet! He took the
technology he developed in the electric superbike and built an electric
airplane. In his second flight ever in the aircraft, he broke the world
speed record for an electric aircraft and his record still stands today!
On Two Wheels appears every other Wednesday on the Motor Trend channel.

Bike Vs Police CHASE Motorcycle Stunts RUNNING From The Cops Riding WHEELIES Cop CHASES
Stunt bike rider performs stunts such as wheelies in downtown Saint Louis,
MO which draws the police's attention. As a result of the motorcycle stunt
rider doing tricks such as riding a wheelie directly passed a cop car
sitting at an intersection. The police officer try's to pull over the
motorcyclist performing stunts but the biker doe's not have time for that
so he doe's not stop for the cops thus starting a high speed chase with the
cop car flashing it lights and sirens in hot pursuit of the street bike
stunt rider. From this point on the rest of the video is bike vs cop
because neither one was going giving up easily without a fight. As you'll
see both the biker and cop car race throw the street's of downtown STL
splitting automobiles in heavy congested traffic. Watch the video an
you'll see who wins. This motorcycle police chase was filmed from two
different angles and two different camcorders.

Motorcycle Crash & Burn on Mulholland
Click this link To watch all 80 crashes captured over the past four years.
Mulholland Highway in Los Angeles has been a mecca for motorcycles & fast
cars for decades. Car and motorcycle clubs are regular visitors every
weekend. Jay Leno can often be found at the famous Rockstore and at a view
point called Lookout talking with fellow motor enthusiasts. Crashes are
common as well as a heavy police presence on most weekends. The Snake is a
two mile section of Mulholland above the Rockstore. Riders usually will
make multiple runs allowing me to move from corner to corner when
assembling rider videos. The speed limit is 45 mph, most riders are not
going much over that so the majority of tickets are crossing the line,
wheelies or equipment violations. Bicycles are up here all the time but
motorcycles and bikes seem to do fine together as long as the cyclists are
willing to stay to the right. Cars passing them are a bigger problem since
there is no shoulder and most turns are blind.
I mainly shoot on the last corner coming up because I can see much of the
road and photogs are expected. The turn gets it's fair share of crashes
but people crash other places also just no one is filming. The top corner I
shoot seem to average one crash every couple weeks in the summer, out of
many hundreds of riders. 911 emergency services are rarely called and
accidents are seldom reported since most riders do not get injured
severely. Google Street View - http://goo.gl/wsMi

assistance on remote places of Colombia.
There was 4 people on board: The pilot and chief of medical staff, another
doctor, a little boy recently operated, and the mother of the boy. All died
instantly except the pilot, who died a few day later due to the extensive
