Today I thought I would update the couple of guys subscribed to my channel with an update on the car. I just had it painted so I thought it was about due for another video.

Datsun 280Z w/ L28 3.1L Stroker and Triple Webers
Here is a short video of the Z starting. Just got the idle working right tonight where before it wouldn't idle down. Throttle response is good though it goes lean. I have new jets coming to solve that issue.
Sorry for the crappy video. Can't find the cable I needed and so I had to use some 3rd party app to rip it. For whatever reason, it didn't do widescreen.

One hectic Rainy day in East London, South Africa! Here is my Father's Nissan Skyline rocking M3 ITB's eating up the track!!!! First time out with the new motor in! Very impressive car! Well Done to all who took part! And Big ups to the PE boys beating the EL boys on home turf! Woooop Wooooop!!!!
Nissan R35 GT-R - Godzilla Motorsport
Mark Jacobson powers his Nissan R35 GT-R to a 6.6-second pass the Sport Compact Brisbane Jamboree. The car is powered by a custom 3.2L RB-series turbo 6-cylinder. The long term plan will be to fit a 4.0L VR38 V6 engine with the aim of running deeper into the 6-second zone. The Nissan is also presently the quickest RB powered car on the planet.

Datsun 240Z L28ET ITB First Startup
After a 3 year on and off process she started today on the first try. Besides needing some tuning she is running pretty good! Next comes the turbo!
Datsun 280Z - 3.1L Stroker - First drive with new jets
Well, this is the first drive with the new jets in. The progression circuit was causing trouble before. My idle jets were too small causing the progression circuit to lean out. Remember: Just because it's CALLED an idle jet doesn't mean it only controls idle. The other thing is that the idle mixture screws don't affect the progression circuit, so if your idle jets are too small, there is no getting around buying new ones.
Now it runs rich, though from here I have a ballpark to start tuning. It's presently got 135 mains, 185 air correction, 60F9 idle jets.
240Z 3.1L Bore L28 Triple Carb Dyno Run --- 181.7rwhp

Datsun 240z 196hp though SU carbs. MSA Z-Bash 2011
1972 Datsun 240z on the Dyno at the Motorsport Auto Z-Bash 2011.
Made 196hp though SU carbs. Dyno pull stopped at 6300rpm but the car is built to run upwards of 7500rpm.
Drove straight off the street, no tuning, 100+ degree air temp.

I put down a max of 130.5rwhp and torque at about 135ish. L24 tripple 44s Exhaust.
