1972 Datsun 240z L28 triple mikuni 44h dyno run
Sounded awesome, a/f was good, putting out just 10+ hp over stock l28, and 15+ torque over stock curve. Stock l28 motor with MSD ignition. Perhaps another run with more advanced ignition timing in the future?
280Z L28 3.0L / Engine Rev and Exhaust Sound
Rebello 3L with ported head, valve train work, and cam. Produced 297hp @ 6700RPM at Rebello's facility. This was about the 3rd start after a light tune.
First start up of Frankenstein L28 with triple Mikuni's
This is a second hand rebuilt L28 engine I picked up. It that has 2mm oversize flat top Toyota pistons (hence "Frankenstein"), 74 deg cam, re-curved mech advance electronic dizzy, extractors with 2.5" Exhaust and triple Mikuni carbies on a Cannon manifold. This is the first start up of it once installed and the tuning is up the shit, but at least it ran. The smoke is from the Exhaust paint curing and is no big deal, looks bad but that is normal for the paint to bake on. Stay tuned for more video's once its finished and running properly.
