1997 BB6 Honda Prelude Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust Zoom H1 H22 VTEC
After many tests and hours of driving around at a local track, I've
narrowed down the most decent settings with the Zoom H1 in order to capture
the sound of the Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust. I did the best I could with the tools,
software and my current knowledge. I still think this is a terrible video
but I've been trying so hard to capture the right balance of engine and Exhaust note in one clip that I'm
thinking I require more mics in order to capture the sound one is able to
hear in person within the cabin of the vehicle. So this video will have to
do for now until I master this stuff.

Honda Prelude SH on Twisty Highway!!!
Just chilling on a twisty road on what was my daily driver (sold). I'm not
on a racetrack, not maxing the car, just toying around a bit while staying
safe and coming back in one piece.
This is Highway 53 in Oregon. The road was halfway wet.
97-01 Prelude SH
Cheap $40 adjustable springs, stock struts
Stock Rims with great Bridgstone Potenza Tires, Speed Rated "W" (168 MPH),
no reason to drive that fast, but higher speed rating seriously helps with
grip at any speeds.
Cheap BOMZ racing cold air intake with old filter
Old clogged catyletic converter
ATTS unit is not functioning.
There might be cars out there that can take a corner faster, but few are so predictable,
especially for the price. The Prelude provides almost a perfect link
between the road and the driver. Steering is responsive, changes
direction immediately, especially with with higher speed rated tires and
slightly lower / stiffer suspension. Exhaust noise is beautiful, and the H22A4 2.2
Liter engine provides decent tourqe for its size.
A confident driver is good, and the Prelude gives you just that. An
overconfident driver is as bad as a nervous driver and that can happen in
Whatever the car, you still need common sense in the end. Stay safe. On
downhill turns, make sure you brake early and drive slower through them.
Uphill gives you much better grip in any car, and shorter stopping
My Turbo Prelude
SONG IS NOT MINE IT'S "STOP (blue mix) by Ghost_K. All the work on the car
was done by my father and myself. It's 97' Prelude 5th gen H22A4, it's
engine insides are stock (and its staying that way HONDA KNOWS WHAT IT
DOES) I've heard of a lot of people who start seeing problems when they
open up the engine, I'm not going to risk it this is my every day ride and
my car. I really don't know why people say H22's can't be Boosted, mine has handled it very well, it has
not given em a single problem and it has been Boosted for almost 2 yrs now, the first year
it lived as you see in the video at 8 psi of Boost. These days it does have more mods in
it, like a proper Boost controller,
an AEM fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator, NGK iridium plugs and spark
plugs cables, and 550 RC fuel injectors, it's also running 12 psi of Boost now, it Dynoed 364whp (sorry i did not
have my camera with me at the time, sister broke it, but the Dyno paper is laying around
somewhere in my room if I find it I will post it). I will stick with these
numbers until I get better traction, ideas are welcomed, i don't like
spinning my tires till 3rd upper RPMs. I have not timed it but i did stay
neck and neck with a Civic Si turbo
(2006 model) of a friend of mine which runs about 12.3 secs, it was rolling
of course because of my traction issue, but I still find my car quite fast
and extremely reliable for an every day car. HONDA FOR LIFE.
