Crusty Torana goes stealth twin turbo
Mark Drew has long had an affliction for building quick street V8’s, many of them being Holden Torana’s. This particular LH was originally built in a mere 5 weeks and ran a best time of 9.41 at 146mph in naturally aspirated from a 434-cube small block chev. After getting a taste of LS Boost from his wife’s wild HR Holden, Mark decided that was a good enough route to travel down in the lighter weight Torana. The body might look a bit rough, but check out that engine bay, turbo’s what turbos? Mark has done a stellar job of making sure the bay is as simple as possible. The LSX bullet features a Dart block and cylinder heads with Boost supplied from twin Borg Warner turbos and a Holley EFI E85 fuel setup. These were the first pass under Boost on wastegate pressure only. #LSTHEWORLD tees now available http://shop.fullBoost.com.au/category-s/1814.htm 1974 Holden Torana LH GM LSX 427ci V8 engine Dart block, Dart Pro1 heads, hydraulic roller camshaft Borg Warner SX300 turbochargers @ 13psi Holley EFI, E85 fuel system, ICE / water Intercooler Powerglide transmission, 3500rpm stall converter 9in diff, 3.25:1 gears, full Exhaust MT 275mm ET Street Pro radial tyres Race weight: 3350Ibs http://www.fullBoost.com.au Get your track gear! http://shop.fullBoost.com.au Support us on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/fullBoost Follow us on social media @ Google+ https://plus.google.com/+fullBoost Facebook http://www.facebook.com/fullBoostcomau YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/fullBoostcomau Twitter https://twitter.com/fullBoostcomau Instagram http://instagram.com/fullBoostcomau COPYRIGHT WARNING: The above video is copyrighted © to FullBoost You do not have permission to download it and re-upload it anywhere in any form. King of the Street
The second running of the Tunnel Vision King of the Street at Heathcote Park Raceway produced another great day of super fast street cars, many running single digit passes at over 150mph. Competitors ran hard all day before competing in a heads up Chicago shootout to determine a winner for the day. Quentin’s twin turbo LS powered V8 Holden Torana was too strong in the end for Brad Keems’ single turbo HEMI 6 Valiant Charger. Quentin also took out the award for best et and mph for the day.
