Chevy Big Block Engine Starting
We just finished our new Chevy Big-Block engine, wich will soon find a home
in our 1980 Camaro. It
is just one of many BBC's that I have built. It is a "street friendly" 10:1
all forged, mechanical roller with too many goodies to list . It sounds
crazy and I can't wait to feel the tire shreading performance.
1971 Chevelle SS 454 4 Speed in Action
Here's a video showing my 1971 Chevelle SS (a real one, not a clone)
starting, running, and driving. See my other video about this car to learn
the story behind it. I had just taken it out of the garage so the smoke
you see as it is idling is condensation from the Exhaust. It has a 468 with aluminum heads and
12:1 compression. Three inch Exhaust
flows through Flowmaster mufflers. This is my first attempt a a "moving"
video, and will probably make a longer one in the future with more driving
footage. For now, you get the idea......
Driving the 1970 Chevelle SS
One of the top 10 muscle cars of all time has to be the 1970 Chevy Chevelle
SS convertible. So, it was quite a thrill to get a ride in this classic
with Dr. Jamie Meyer, product integration manager for GM Performance Parts
at California's Willow Springs International Raceway.
Chevy 454 Motor - First Ever Startup
A video of a freshly built 500+ Hp Chevy 454 big block motor being started
for the first time. The motor was started on an engine stand to identify
any issues before bringing the motor to the Dyno shop.
69 Camaro 540 vs 66 Chevelle 427
The ultimate big block muscle car drag race!
I've opened an online store where you can get 540Merlin T-shirts and other
great stuff! This is the only source in the world for 540Merlin stuff.

manifold. Truck is a 63 f-100 uni-cab, last year for the strait axle front
end. rear tires are 295 Toyo proxes way stickyer the than the old T/As. the
T/As were great for doin burn outs at will, The old Weiand Action+ plus
(big runners) is bar none one the best intakes for the 454 far superior to
the Edelbrock performer,. Love the strait axle front end, steers real nice
like a sprint car. brakes are a little squirlly at times.
Chevy Big Block 454 Engine Starting
I recently built this 454. It is mostly stock with the exception of Eagle 4
bolt main cap conversion and ARP studs. Some of the internals include GM
8:1 pistons on 3/8 rods, GM cast crank, .030 bore, GM/Mercruiser cam (same
as used in 454/330hp Merc. engine), double roller timing set, and small
oval port heads with bronze guides. Everything in the engine is brand new
and as I said in the video, it would make a sweet street rod, pickup, boat
or even garden tractor engine.
