Greetings drag racing fans, permit me to introduce Jaeson Chainz and his 2002 Ford Mustang GT. This car is a years-long endeavor involving an engine swap as well as other significant modifications. Under the hood is the focal point. It’s a Coyote mill from a 2006 Ford F-150. The bottom end is stock with the exception of some aftermarket oil pump gears and a crankshaft damper. That’s a Gen III Coyote (Ford) intake manifold from a 2018 model. The turbocharger is a Forced Inductions 91-102 – winking out of the grille opening. The kit is custom fab. Get a load of some of the characters we’ve met along the way. There was “The One and Only” Robert Williams in his 1977 Chevy Nova known as Weapon-X. Jerome and crew walked away with the Limited Street Class (8.5-second ET) title. His pickup is loaded Read More

June 21st, 2019

After a long day on the road yesterday, the racers are checking in at the Julesburg Drag Strip in Colorado. This is the oldest operating drag strip in the U.S. Bad news is that the weather is wet. Good news is that the rain is subsiding, and it has cooled things off a bit. Race cars like it cool. Racers are looking a little tattered 700-miles into this excursion. Nevertheless, there are some top-tier competitors gnashing on the bridle to get back on the track. There’s a stunning yellow Mustang that has undergone a terrible struggle. The alternator belt broke Read More
