Texas Street Rolls

May 9th, 2018

They say that everything is bigger in Texas. This may be an exaggerated statement but Texas street racers certainly do it as big as anybody in the land. They just do it south of the border. This clip features a diverse blend of imported and domestic vehicles that are purpose built for roll racing. These guys (and girls) roll onto the interstate and engage in a pure contest of speed that begins at 60 mph. The camera car is a 1,000+hp Nissan GT-R. In the first contest, it will do battle with a Cadillac CTS-V (nitrous equipped). The turbocharged import Read More

Daily Driver Street Digs for Dollars

January 28th, 2018

Let’s roll out with the Daily Driver Street Racing Club for some double-elimination action on the rural routes of Mexico. These guys (and girls) are primed and ready to break off an eighth-mile piece of black top in route to claiming the cash prize and bragging rights as the quickest daily driver around. The first thing that I notice are some top tier daily driver/street racing machines. There is a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with its 505hp supercharged V8 and several Corvette entries. There’s  an SRT Dodge Challenger with a big old 6.4-liter HEMI engine making 485hp from the factory. There Read More

Giant Killer – 670HP Turbo K20 Honda Civic

August 4th, 2016

This little import doesn’t make a lot of noise but it does carry a big stick. Never mind that this Honda looks like it’s missing a few panels, it is wreaking havoc on the streets (of Mexico I’m certain), and taking no prisoners. Here is a dyno test and some street (roll) racing action that will have you wondering just how high this four-banger can rev. The tiny Civic first tangles with a Ferrari 458 and make him look foolish. Next, he jumps on a turbocharged S2000 and a modified GT-R and puts both their lights out, respectfully. Then he Read More

Big Baller Cobra Wins Redemption 4.0

March 14th, 2016

This is No Prep racing with some of the biggest names in the Midwest in attendance. The Big Baller Mustang rolled in ready to do battle during Redemption No Prep 4.0 down in Texas and ran into a proverbial buzz saw of competition. Kye Kelley, the Birdman, and Flaco (Skinny) in his twin turbocharged Chevrolet S10, known as ‘Corn Fed’ were all revved up and waiting to run. The Big Baller Cobra Mustang wears a tag plate that reads ‘Boost12’ because it’s boosted and on a scale of one-to-ten – it’s a twelve. It’s running a 380-cubic-inch small block Ford Read More

Street Racing – 1300HP GT-R vs. 1100HP TT Mustang Cobra

January 15th, 2016

If you have ever experienced the spectacle that is street racing then you are aware of the posturing, promotion, misrepresentation, and just plain crap talking that occurs in the minutes and hours before the rubber hits the road. This unique video documents it all. The competitors turn out for some first class trash talking before locking horns on the interstate. Speaking of competitors; the first guy drives a Boost Logic equipped Nissan GT-R and the second (the guy talking all the smack) pilots a twin turbocharged (76-millimeter) Mustang Cobra with a built 7.0-liter small block Chevrolet engine. Check out the Read More

Street Racing – New Mexico Style

October 23rd, 2015

This video is over 6-minutes of heads-up dig (and roll) racing on the streets of New Mexico. All the likely suspects are present and the action is “muy caliente”. Here are some of the highlights from racing into the New Mexico night. A 740hp 2004 Subaru WRX STi with a Precision 6466 turbocharger destroys a 600hp WRX STi. The Terminator Mustang Cobra takes apart a 700hp all-wheel drive Honda Civic, a 400hp Dodge Neon, and gives a 750hp Mitsubishi Evo a good run for his money. A 600hp twin turbocharged Infiniti G35 goes against a 630hp Cadillac CTS-V and a Read More

750HP Mustang Cobras Battle on the Street

June 23rd, 2015

This clip from the Mexico Racing League (MRL) brings you two supercharged Ford Mustang Cobras in head to head roll racing action. If you put any stock in what street racers tell you about their cars, then this battle of the “blue oval” pony cars seems too close to call. At any rate, it makes for a really close contest. Watch for yourself; you don’t want to miss it! These cars sound incredible. Let’s start with the blue car. It is equipped with a stock engine, running 80-pound fuel injectors and a 2.9-liter Whipple Crusher twin-screw supercharger. Power is estimated Read More
