SpeedKore All Carbon-Fiber 1200HP Demon

August 1st, 2019

The SpeedKore Dodge SRT Demon is – in a word – spectacular. Specializing in high-dollar, lightweight carbon-fiber replacement bodies, SpeedKore builds some of the most innovative race cars on the street and track.

Factory Demon output is pretty outstanding but the SpeedKore version bumps up the volume. The OEM supercharger has been removed and a Whipple unit takes its place. Larger throttle bodies and a custom cold air intake permit more air to enter the intake and bigger fuel injectors deliver an upgrade in go-go juice. The open exhaust offers no restriction to the soothing sounds of this demonic power plant. With some tuning help, this devilish delight puts down 950hp at the rear tires and 1200hp at the crank. This Mopar is riding on HRE rims.

Inside? More carbon-fiber, Alcantara leather and a 14-point roll cage. This beast is all about putting the pedal to the metal.

Behind the wheel, our driver finds the SpeedKore Demon to be too much for the tires. He laments the lack of rubber on the rear and recommends some fatter skins. Other than extremely responsive acceleration, our driver finds this car well behaved about town. It stops well and handles well. Ride quality is acceptable. Lighter and faster – what’s not to like?
