Big Turbo JDM Supra vs. All-Motor C6 Corvette – Street Hits

April 26th, 2024

The man, the myth, the legend, the lady’s pet and the men’s threat – our guy Frank is back and he’s sniffed-out another grudge race on the streets (of Mexico). Frank will get these competitors set up to go “full send” with all the camera angles and audio you crave. Prepare yourself for 60 to 150 mph roll racing action.

The Mark IV Supra is what makes Toyota enthusiasts hearts go pitter-pat. Adding to the intrigue tonight: this one appears to be of the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) variety. Right-hand drive is the primary clue.

Looking particularly sleek in silver paint, this Supra is outfitted with a 2JZ engine (3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder) and a big single turbo. The transmission is a 4-speed automatic. The Supra is also modified with an E85 tune. This one sounds like an angry bumblebee. Let’s see if all that aggression transfers to horsepower when the rubber hits the road.

No power adders required. The C6 (sixth generation 2005-2013) Chevrolet Corvette is powered by an LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine. In stock condition, the C6 ‘Vette was capable of making 430hp. The Corvette featured in this video has been upgraded with a set of high-performance cylinder heads, a high-performance camshaft and an exhaust delete kit. This car has a manual transmission and has undergone some weight reduction.

Time to race!
