Magnuson Camaro SS vs. Big Turbo MKV Supra – Street Hits

May 5th, 2023

This night of street racing is set to culminate with a race between a pair of modified street cars.

On the import side, we have a rear-wheel drive 2020 Toyota Supra with an inline 6-cylinder engine. The Supra is stock with the exception of a BigBoost turbo kit. An MPR 67- millimeter turbocharger is the driving force in the BigBoost kit. Maximum output is estimated at 700hp.

Running on the domestic side is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Under the hood we are looking at a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has been upgraded with premium internals. The cylinder heads and camshaft are also high-performance. Forced air induction duties are left to a Magnuson 2650 supercharger with an intercooler and a methanol injection system. Maximum output is dyno confirmed at 900hp to the rear wheels.

Both cars are running Mickey Thompson rubber and E85 fuel.

So, all that’s left to do is get these two monsters on the street (in Mexico) for the first round of fun. The initial hit will initiate at 60 mph and continue until one of the competitors reach 160 mph. Buckle-up.
