Going Pink – New Women’s Half-Mile Record

July 5th, 2017

What trumps a beautiful blonde in a pink Lambo? That’s an easy one – a beautiful blonde, in a hot pink Lamborghini, breaking a world record for top speed in the half-mile!

The backdrop is the Pike’s Peak Airstrip Attack sponsored by ShiftS3ctor and Revolution. This is an event that attracts the best-of-the-best in half-mile and mile cars, including entries like this one from OB Prestige.

The shimmering pink car is a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan. In stock trim, the Huracan makes “only” 600hp. It blasts from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5-seconds. Add a Heffner Performance twin turbocharger setup and – shazzam – you are capable of producing 2,000hp from one of the most track capable cars ever produced.

This car has posted a top speed of 214 mph so the crew knows it’s up to today’s task. To break the half-mile top speed world record in the half-mile (female driver), the car will only need to surpass the 205 mph barrier. The question is: does she have the intestinal fortitude to pull it off or is she just another pretty face?

The first pair of passes will have you wondering if a new world record is in the cards for this event. Just when everyone is ready to call it quits, this driver pulls out all the stops and shatters the women’s world record for top speed in the half mile with a 210 mph effort.

Great job and congratulations to the driver and crew from OB Prestige.
