$10K No Prep Cash Days at the Dragstrip

August 3rd, 2023

Some of the baddest Small Tire cars in No Prep racing were on hand at Last Man Standing. The I-29 Dragway (Iowa) was crawling with cars from multiple classes, including a Small Tire Class that was stacked to the rafters. Let’s have a look.

Troy Bednarz was there with his Gen VI Camaro. This bowtie wearing beast features a 564 cubic-inch Pro Line HEMI with a pair of 110-millimeter turbochargers. This Chevy builds a ton of boost – fast. Troy has been 3.99 @ 202 mph in the eighth-mile. On 50 psi of boost, Pro Line says this mill is capable of producing between 4,800 and 5,000hp. FYI: Troy plans to turn up the boost to 80 psi in the near future. Today?

The Skinny Kid Mustang was on hand. He’s running a Pro Line 481 cubic-inch engine with a massive ProCharger. Skinny is poor mouthing it pretty hard, but make no mistake, he’s in it to win it.

Nitrous cars battle against inducted cars as the track heats up during the first round. Elapsed times dip below the 5-second mark as track conditions improve.

Then you have Ryan Mitchell, a street racer in a twin turbo big block Camaro. Ryan posted a 4.77-second pass in Round 1 making him the favorite to take home the money. He’ll have to earn it in this field.
