Limpy Flagged Texas Cash Days

March 12th, 2022

They say that everything is bigger in Texas. This time, they might be right. What we have here is one of the largest cash days ever recorded. The entry fee is $300, and there are between 20 and 30 competitors on hand. That makes for a relatively good payday. This is a Small Tire, single elimination event. Time to race!

Among the competitors on hand is BoostedGT in his Banana Mustang. It is powered by a turbocharged (88-millimeter) Ford small block. A fresh set of cylinder heads have the BoostedGT team in an optimistic frame of mind.

KC Maxx is here with his turbo Firebird. The massive 540 cid engine is history and a stock 5.3-liter LS engine has taken its place. The twin turbo setup has also been scrapped for a single turbo kit. We’ll file this one in the “wait and see” category.

First to come to the line is the Pontiac of KC Maxx. He’s running against a twin turbo Gen II Camaro. The Firebird comes out of the hole bucking and jerking, but KC manages to get it from A to B and take the win. Good start.

The Mistress Chevy II is on hand. He’ll be taking on a nitrous injected Chevy Monte Carlo in the first round. Both cars cut the light with zeal before the Monte Carlo knocks the tires off around midway. The Mistress leaves him in the lurch and blows the engine busting through the trap. Bad break for the Mistress crew.

Tons more drag racing on the streets (of Mexico) here. Take it all in and enjoy.
